"I went to get a second opinion, I was wrong for assuming that an X-ray was not needed. I apologize for turning down the X-rays since I placed judgment based on my last experience where they try to sell you something or make more suggestions for reasons of the visit. Dr. Richard Potter came in with an ignorant/sassy attitude and immediately suggested this was not the clinic for me and followed with educating me as to why an X-ray was important for this visit and assured me they weren’t trying to sell me anything. I was wrong for placing judgment based on my previous experience, I was not giving anyone a hard time there, X-rays cost me$$. This wouldn’t be the first time getting X-rays this year under my insurance. I agreed with him tho, this place was not for me. His approach assured me that he lacks empathy,customer service, understanding and urgency of making a patient feel welcome and comfortable. She,Dr. Potter walked me to front and made sure the whole clinic knew that he was not gonna see me and to take me off her appointments.I was polite and thank everyone that helped me.I wouldn’t want to be under the care of someone that ignorant. I’m very good with people but I do take charge of my finances and since it’s all costing me educating me on the importance is key. If she would’ve initially the approach to understand me, it would be a different situation. I would avoid Richard Potter in this clinic"

"I need to preface this with I have terrible anxiety at the dentist and as a new resident to SA I was terrified having to find a new place. I'm so happy I decided to come here! I've had two cleanings, a few fillings refilled and two crowns placed. The crowns were a new experience, again terrifying, but if it had to be done I'm really happy I was here for it. Dr. Heterick is so patient. He makes sure to explain things in a thorough manner and constantly checks in for comfort. I'm a natural redhead and anesthesia wears off quickly. I've been kicked before or even made to feel bad because I suddenly felt pain when the numbing wore off. Dr. Heterick is always like don't worry, I want you comfortable. When it comes time to detail work with making sure the bite is correct he explains why it needs to be right (aside from comfort) and continues to work until you're happy. I never feel like I'm being rushed along but they move efficiently and I really appreciate that. Jackie, the hygienist is an absolute angel. She always has this positive attitude that just makes you feel like you're in good hands. On a personal note, the very first time I met her I was just having a terrible day, my anxiety was high, and I was told about the crown - I just felt awful. She kept talking and trying to make it a better day, then asked if she could give me a hug and walked me out the back so I didn't have to walk through the lobby with tears. It might sound silly but there aren't many people that still act with compassion and it really meant a lot. She seems to really have a passion for her job and when it comes time to move I wish I could take her with me. I have had interactions with other staff members and they have all been kind and respectful. Highly recommend this office."
