"Took my son and daughter in for the first time there for a checkup. Waited forever for them to be seen. After the exam and cleaning were done, I was told to wait in the front to schedule treatment. Receptionist told me to take a seat and wait. After 20 min she told me she would call me to have them scheduled since she wanted to be sure treatment was covered. I was the only patient there left however they were too busy getting ready to leave that they couldn’t help me earlier. I left and never received a call back. I called a few weeks later and the receptionist noticed my frustration and told that fillings are covered and wasn’t sure why they weren’t scheduled but said she would look into it and call me back. I did not receive a called back. After six months I got a call to schedule for a checkup again. No thank you"

"I am pretty sure there was no dental hygienist at this practice. Someone took x-rays and then I waited 25 mins for the dentist to come in spend 5 mins cleaning my teeth and then someone came in spent 5 mins polishing my teeth and that was it. There was no actual teeth cleaning done (atleast not throughly) no flossing done, no fluoride. Seemed like they’re understaffed but when I go to a dentist I definitely expect my teeth to be cleaned at the very least. Everyone was nice but felt like a waste of time and will be booking with a new practice soon to get a real cleaning done."

"Braces fully paid, they are just working on the final stages. During this 2 year process, we had to move to another state due to career changes. We keep on driving to Texas (from Illinois) for the appointments. We have contemplated getting our own dentist in the new state we are currently in, but the staff at Smiley says that if we get a new dentist, we will have to start all over with the braces process, and most likely be fully billed with the new dentist. This makes us just want to finish the process with Smiley since we are almost done. Our last appointment was 2 months ago. They gave us a follow up appointment for November 24, 2023. We immediately reminded staff that particular day is the day after thanksgiving, but they assured us they were going to be open. In fact, I got appointment reminders a few days before the appointment and as usual, I Confirmed through text and I even got a text back from them, acknowledging my confirmation. After a 16 hour drive to the appointment, the doors at Smiley are locked and we immediately contact them via live chat on their website. They told us that they are closed. We asked for time off of work, drove 16 hours for this appointment, and confirmed my appointment via text, and now they are closed. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, just very careless staff!! Who is going to reimburse me for my time and cost of the trip, AND my time off of work!? This is not the first time this happens. We have gone to our appointments before, where they have no clue we were on the schedule, so they have had to "fit us in" a time slot, even at times sending us to another Smiley location just to fit us in. How hard does it have to be to make and keep a proper appointment. We are driving 16 hours for this irresponsibility. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau!"

"We moved to San Antonio from Miami in 2018 and we started going to this location since it was very close to our home. We've never experienced any problem and my youngest daughter who's afraid of doctors, etc. wouldn't change this place. We bought a house in 2020 on the opposite side were we have dentists at a walking distance, but we made a bond with this place at Potranco. I recommend it 100% No long waits, friendly staff, knowledgeable doctors as well as the staff, no billing surprises, nice parking lot and easy to find."

"I’ve had an extraordinary experience at this dentist office. I can really tell that Dr. Wen cares about his patients and their teeth. The customer service here is excellent as well, I’ve had nothing but good encounters here. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good dental care office. I out off getting my teeth done for 6 years and when I finally chose to I came here. Very affordable and I’m happy with the results. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to take better care of your teeth."
