"Joe's a good guy prices are fair the only problem is like everybody else in Texas he's behind takes two or three weeks to get your vehicle in to get looked at but other than that he's a great guy"
"Mr. Joe Gates just plain old fashioned Truck garage. Shoot it straight to you on parts, availability, and labor. If he doesn't have the part, he can order it. He and his hands do a mighty fine job for you. And most of all, he is not high in price on parts n labor. Very reasonable."
"Joe is a very good man to do business with. He even helps out other company's like Sons International. Good company!"
"Took my 2002 GMC Duramax in because there was a problem with antifreeze leaking. Thought it was a head gasket problem...They told me that for sure the radiator was bad and a few other things. Together it was going to be about $7k. Too much to spend on the old girl. Had made a mistake of telling them that I thought it was a Head Gasket issue and they - wanting to do a $7k job didn't tell me other wise or even try to diagnose it. Yes it was my mistake for giving then the idea but they - "The Professionals" did say, "Hey, these Duramax engines, unless they have 500,000 miles never have problems like this, let me check it out for you to give you the straight scoop on what is really wrong with it. I took a chance and had them do the radiator and hoses - $1800. got it back and it was still loosing Antifeeeze. He said. that there was another problem that needed to be fixed and it would cost $600. When asked why they didn't do this in the first place, when everything was apart, he told me that it was too far back and that there was no reason to look there. This is a 13 yr old truck. Why would you not look there. It was the Gasket on the Oil cooler pump that was leaking - I found this out from another mechanic. The $600 repair that he did, Remover the gasket, and use only Silicone. NO GASKET!!!! WTH? Now I have taken my truck to the NAPA guys in Castroville, Tx and they are fixing it for 2 hours and Gaskets for under $300. I got screwed! Unless you know and I mean KNOW what is wrong with your truck, I would avoid taking your machine to Gates unless you are his friend and like giving him money for nothing. I trusted someone and got screwed...."
"Joe Gates is the type of guy that fixes it right the first time. Plus the price is always right. I trust him with all my company equipment."
