"Dr. Abi, Dr. James, and Artia’ their dental assistant we had, were absolutely amazing with my 4 and 6 year olds! My son has autism and is super sensitive to the environment he is in; and all my children left the dentist HAPPY and with no fear!! Their methods are so gentle and they are so great with children. Amazing people and an amazing practice!"
"Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with this dentist office. I am a little alarmed at how they push sedation on children. Dr Abi attempted to do work on my 4 year old son, giving him nitrous (which I do not feel is necessary) then expected him to still be sitting still 45 minutes later when she came to work with him. She then said he was too restless (I'm not sure what she expects from a 4 year old stuck in a dentist office waiting for that long). She then said she could not do the work without conscious sedation and sent him home, conscious sedation cost was $500-$600 dollars, and like the nitrous, not covered by insurance. My oldest daughter experienced the same thing. She complained that the nitrous made her feel sick at her last visit but it was implied that they would not do it without using it. My husband had gone with her the first 2 visits and now I had to take off of work to attend the 3rd. During the 3rd visit to attempt the dental work, she begged the dental assistant not to use the "mermaid tail" because it was too large for her mouth and gagging her. But the assistant continued to insist on using, actually stated it was easier for her that way. Meanwhile they had a bite block they refused to try that instead. After wasting much time, we were then told she would need IV sedation which costs $1300, also not covered by insurance. We had already paid upfront for her dental work as requested by the office and had planned to reschedule, so they did not refund our money at that time. After discussing it with my husband, we decided that while the staff was nice, we did not agree with the philosophy of the office and their eagerness to drug our children which seemed to be more for profit and their convenience than for the safety and health of our children. This appointment occurred in September of 2023, and on Oct 13, we called to request our money be returned for the services we had prepaid for. We were told they would mail us a check within a few weeks. Late November we called to follow up and were told that insurance claims were still pending and that is what was holding it up. I pointed out that there was no communication from the office regarding that and while on the call I logged into my insurance and confirmed that all claims were closed for over a month now. Office Manager Kara, agreed and said that she would talk to the billing department and have them expedite this process. On January 17, 2024, now over 3 months since we were told it would be a few weeks, I still did not have a refund. BTW, I had called the week before but I was told Kara was in a meeting and she would return my call by the end of the day. She never did. When Kara did take my call this time, she said she just spoke with the billing department and they "sent it out" 2 days ago. I asked what they sent out and she only responded a check. Today, I have my check in my hand however it is half of what they owed me for my daughters prepaid work. There is no explanation of why it is less and no statement included. Literally just a blank piece of paper wrapped around a check. I am horrified by this experience, I will also file complaints with the appropriate organizations. My biggest problem with this office is their lack of communication and their philosophy of jumping right to sedation. Of course kids don't love the dentist. I was a dental assistant for over 10 years, we never once sedated a child to complete work. I am sad that I even have to write this review."
"Dr Abby was incredible with my little today. She was patient, kind, encouraging, and most importantly she cared about how my daughter felt about how the treatment was going. Very often physicians overlook how their patient really feels because they’re a child, that was far from the case with Dr. Abby. The assistant was just as kind and patient as she was."
"We absolutely love going here! They make my kids enjoy coming to any check up’s or issues that arise. So glad we found a dentist who comforts and keeps positivity through all appointments. Would recommend them to anyone."
"We brought our 3 year old in for her first exam and cleaning and couldn’t be happier! Staff was warm ,welcoming and quickly put us at ease. They gave her lots of stickers and treats and had Disney movies playing that made the appt a breeze. Dr. Abby and Anna were wonderful with our daughter and we were out of there super fast! Highly recommend!"
