"Dr. Berger and the dentist hygienist are amazing! However, I recently got new dental insurance, called about a week prior to my appointment and they said to just bring it to the appointment… I brought it and was told it was out of network but I should be covered… I check out and all the lady says to me is “how much do you pay for insurance?” And I was shocked because that seems extremely unprofessional to ask, I said “I don’t know” and she said “you don’t know how much you pay? What’s your premium?” And I said “I think I pay $10-30, im not sure” (I’m new to the whole paying for my own insurance thing) and she responds with “well if you barley pay anything do you think they’re going to cover much?” As I am just looking at her still in shock.. she gives me an estimate for my next appointment (I need a filling) and says “that’s if they cover anything.” If my insurance doesn’t end up covering my visit, I’ll have to find a new dentist - which is not the office’s fault - again, I love dr. Berger and the dental hygienist I get every time I go, but after that experience I’m not as upset as I could be about the possibility."
