"I can only write about my experience with Affordable Auto. It has been good. Adam and dad have worked on three of my cars and all have been fixed. He always detects the problem calls me and gives me the cost. I know that if you go behind and find cheaper prices on items, that's what they are, cheap. Get the good stuff and feel good about their work. Most time understanding goes a long way."
"They got me in last minute to replace my struts before a road trip. They did a fast and quality job. Yukon drives 10x better"
"I don't know what some of these other reviewers are talking about. This was the easiest experience I have ever had with a mechanic. Needed a new starter, had it towed to the shop, price was $100 lower than any of the other estimates. Less than 24 hours later it was done. Adam even dropped the car off at the house. Recommend."
"I called concerning getting the actuator on my car door replaced. The individual that I spoke with told me he was going to call be back. I have not received a return call yet and its well over a week. I look at it as a blessing in disguise, no explanation needed."
"It's a shame they have to have friends, relatives, or even the owner put 5 Star reviews on here to make them look good. Back a couple years ago when they were at a different address, smaller shop, and the Father was running the place, It was a great place. It looks like the Father is passing the business onto the Son- the son moved to a larger shop in a new town, and took on more work than he could finish. Look at the pictures, see how big the shop is- then ask yourself, How does 2 mechanics handle all those autos? I put in a car to get work done which should have been done in about 3 weeks, and I'm a patient person. I waited until 4-5 weeks to contact them, I needed the car back. The car was not finished, with several excuses ranging from the paint and body guy left town to attend a family funeral, their car broke down in San Antonio and had to wait several days for parts, or after they painted my car- the color was not blended. Then the detail guy put my car in his shop, cleaned it, left the car in his shop and left town- nobody else has a key to his shop to get my car out. Then the 2 owners left town for a weekend(Thurs thru Monday). And I know their hours listed say they open at 9am, but 90%+ of the time, they do not make it until later- go ahead, test my statement- show up at 9am for a few days. Meantime, I had to rent a car from Enterprise. About this same time, the Son said he had problems with the IRS and they shut down his business and accounts until he paid part of his taxes so he could not get anything done. The Son also stated because it was taking longer and it was his fault- He would pay for the rental car. Dropped the car off to get worked on Feb 8, 2019 and get it back April 17, 2019. The Enterprise bill was a little over $1500, and I am not asking for all that, but just the last 5 weeks but I have not gotten paid back yet. UPDATE July 10, 2019- The paint job on the Nissan Altima is cracking, peeling off, and has waves/ripples. I took it to get new estimates at paint and body shops. They pointed out many problems with the work that was supposed to be done either at the other shops Affordable Auto Repair 209 E Mcleroy Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76179 or ET Auto Plus 1919 Golden Heights suite 300 Fort Worth, Texas 76177. When the new shops opened the hood, they noticed several broken parts which are important to holding the front end on the car. Therefore the small black clips would not stay on under the fender around the tires or near the hood latch. The radiator support was not replaced- the whole front end was tilted down causing the headlights to shine on the ground, and the car needs to be repainted. The front end paint and body needs to be redone and my new estimate is almost $3400. All the money I spent at Affordable Auto Repair and ET Auto Plus was wasted. $1860 + $1281 for the rental car(this is for 5 weeks rental)= Total $3141. I will attach pictures so you can see the Altima. Since I have to get the car re-done at another shop, it would be nice to get a refund for the work they didn't do."
