"I had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned on November 5, 2023 with Dr Houston Tuel's dental hygienist. When I arrived for my appointment, I told the hygienist that I just wanted to have a cleaning with no exam. I was told for the first time since I started going to the dentist that I could not have a cleaning without an exam. In my prior appointment in May, I was told by Dr. Tuel that I needed to get 2 implants. I told him that my oral surgeon did NOT recommend this and explained why. He bristled and arrogantly stated that it could be done. He pretty much ordered me to go to his oral surgeon. I went back to my oral surgeon who did another full workup. My surgeon told me that if I had an implant, that it was extremely likely that the implant would hit a nerve and that my lower lip would be permanently numb. As a result, I did not want an exam by Dr. Tuel and have another coercive and uncomfortable conversation about the implants. Since I was told I could not get my teeth cleaned unless I agreed to the Dr's exam, I had no choice but to leave the office with no services rendered. I was charged a missed appointment fee. I not be returning to Dr. Tuel's office again!"

"Have been coming here for about 2yrs, and am going to find a new dentist. Found out that they didn't summit my dental services to my insurance and I came out of pocket a 100%. I called the insurance coordinator to tell her that I do have coverage and instead of just correcting it and apologizing she blamed me for not telling her I had coverage, when I had already given her all my insurance information to verify.Last time I checked since I've been in the field for 15 years as an RDA and still am. An insurance coordinators job is to verify instead of gaslighting me and blaming me, very unprofessional. Now 9 months later I go in for my cleaning and I get my refund finally and Dr.Tuels bedside manner was very cold during my periodic exam.That was the icing on the cake for me. Don't recommend this place."
