"While we were eating the phone rang we heard the waitress in back talking to someone. The phone kept on ringing. We ordered the burgers. (Should of read the reviews first.) They were dry and had no flavor. I tried dumping pepper on the burger still nothing. The fries were a mix of soggy and cooked. I don't know how some gave good food reviews unless they got paid.. I will pass on this place."
"Food was good but only 1 server in whole place. Philly steak pizza was amazing. Pork Tenderloin sandwich was good but could of had more fires. Grilled chicken wrap was a little greesy for a grilled option but came with tons of onion rings. The 1/4 lb burger and fries great for an 11 year old. Over all good meal."
"We stopped in here on a Saturday for lunch. I got the 1/4 pound burger and fries. It looked like a kids meal. They should give you more fries. The portions are small. The restaurant was clean. They had one waitress for the whole restaurant. Not sure if we'll be back."
"Enjoyed the BPT. Been wanting to get one for a long time since we don’t have them in Alabama. Was not disappointed."
"Arrived at the place a little after 8pm. Expected it to be busy but the staff attentiveness was lacking and a waitress had to yell at us to "pick wherever to sit" because the music was so loud. Some of the furniture has exceptionally visible wear with peeling vinyl. Entire building couldn't decide whether to be a classy historical Hinkle-esque pub or a rowdy postmodern club with a lot of dust. Kudos to Zach Mosgrove, the live musician of the night, as his vocals were awesome but live performances in such a small area were blaring. When he wasn't playing, it was a hodge podge of distasteful rap music. Come on, no sea shanties? I couldn't tell you the names of any of the staff or recognize them as there were no name tags or easily distinguishable uniforms. Drinks were served in plastic cups- albeit compostable ones. The staff definitely put priority on the bar. I witnessed one table on the "family" side of the establishment had a pitcher of what appeared to be beer with kids younger than 12 sitting at said table. Yikes. Food arrived after about 35-40 minutes of waiting. Pictures attached: Shipley Burger + specialty ribeye. Crinkle-cut fries were fresh and hot, and likely come from a frozen source. Burger was dry but well-seasoned, and all toppings were fresh. The ribeye was much better but strong-tasting and the meat was rubbery. It had been ordered with a side of onion rings and fries were brought out instead. A mistake that was corrected within a couple of minutes. Before our food had even cooled, we were asked if we wanted to-go boxes and Styrofoam to-go cups for our drinks. Overall, an okay experience if you don't want to hear yourself think."
