"I had a horrible experience with this place last January. I believe the woman who did my hairs name was Nicole but I’m unsure, anyways, the women had an insanely rude, dismissive and nasty attitude with me the minute I came to my silk press + trim appointment. Not sure if she was having a bad day or jealousy. She kept staring at me, raising her voice at me and was very snarky. She then took it upon herself to demand I needed a full blown haircut because my “ends were too damaged” although I just came in for a silk press and trim. My hair was long down my back and I pleaded with her multiple times saying I just wanted the bare minimum of it cut. She started having a very nasty attitude with me and was dismissive of my wishes not to cut it too short saying she’s not going to finish doing my hair if I don’t allow her to do this cut. I can either let her cut it how she wants or leave. This lady proceeded to cut off all of my hair even though I told her to only cut what’s necessary. She took a photo of the back of my hair to show me the damaged ends, I agreed they should be cut off not expecting her to literally cut all my hair off, I assumed she’d only cut to the damaged end lines, but she cut way beyond that point. She decided to cut my long hair into a short blunt bob to my ears. She unnecessarily cut all of my hair that took years to grow. She just decided to give me a Dora the Explorer hair bob. She cut it extremely blunt, short, no layers, nothing, just a straight cut line from ear to ear. What was the point? Then she charged me extra for this haircut I never told her I wanted or needed. I have never felt so traumatized by a service worker before. After I got in my car and saw how she literally mutilated my hair I began to cry. I’m not going to lie I’ve cried a LOT over the course of this past year from this experience, my encounter with her and this establishment was a traumatizing one. To this day I regret ever stepping foot in that place, for her to give me a short bob to my ears for absolutely no reason when it wasn’t necessary at all. I just don’t understand why someone would treat a paying customer so cruelly. I remember when I was in there, the other people in the salon were just staring at me silently after she hacked off all my hair. This woman was loud, rude, unprofessional, seems to have a mean streak, and possibly jealousy streak. I do NOT recommend this establishment at all, especially for anyone who is afraid of something like this happening to them. This interaction has bothered me so much all 2023 and now 2024. I randomly cry over it still because I don’t understand why someone would be that malicious. Because of her I will never trust anyone with scissors near my hair. It’s gonna take like four years to get back to that length. More future customers should be aware of what they could be dealing with. There’s a possibility you can come in with hair down your back and leave with a short bob you can’t even put in a ponytail?? Work on your attitude problem, and don’t just cut off someone’s hair into a short bob, shame on you! I’ve had trims done other places, they’ll actually take their time to add layers, and only cut off dead ends. Not cut it into a blunt cut bob. Aside from the bob cut, all of the hair she straightened that day became permanently damaged. My hair doesn’t revert back to its curl no matter what I do, I have a lot of permanent straight sections that refuse to curl ever again especially at the front of my head. Id need to do a big chop if I ever want to see my hair curly again. For the record, I don’t ever apply heat by myself, hence why I went to have my hair professionally straightened that day. I just did that to treat myself. That was the last day I’ve ever had it straightened, I always wash and go. I’ve been trying to put treatments on it all year to restore my curls with no success. I can’t even wear my curly hair down anymore because of all the heat damage she did. I can only wear it in a ponytail. Avoid this place unless you want severe heat damage."
