"The burger was good, properly cooked. BLT was also good, crispy lettuce and bacon. Fries were also crispy and fresh. While they were busy(two big parties)and understaffed, they got someone, not a server, to come out so we didn’t wait long. Will definitely come by when going through Houston again."

This Texas size place is great to fill up any Texan size tummy. Great food and prices! This is my second time and will visit more! $2 margarita is a plus! My go-to favs are mac-n-cheese, burgers, bowl of chili, chicken fried chicken, and mash. I have been here numerous of times and have friends that make this their stop after my recommendation. Most all items are Texas-size! "Heard about this place a few years ago and finally decided to try it out! Off I-10 East, just on the other side of Beltway 8 (East Belt) between Houston and Baytown (Magnolia exit), this place is well worth stopping by if you like fantastic country cooking styled dishes. Not only was the quality and quantity of the food above & beyond what was expected but the cleanliness of the restaurant and service was excellent. Serving commercial truckers as well as the regular public with plenty of safe, clean parking. I believe they also own the store next to the cafe as well. Larissa was our attentive server on the latest trip, greeting us from the time we walked in like we were regular old time customers and she is the definition of southern Texas hospitality! Great daily specials & affordable pricing throughout the menu as well! Definitely will be returning again soon!"

"I have to say this place has had a huge improvement compared to what is was about 6-7 months ago. The food is actually arriving to the table hot, fresh and delicious. And there are lots of new staff which is amazing in itself. I'm glad this place has turned itself around for the better. Please keep up the good work. "I'd heard how great this place was from several people, and finally decided to stop in for lunch around 1 o'clock on a Thursday afternoon. I wanted something delicious and comforting, and they did NOT disappoint! The food was wonderful, very generous portions, friendly atmosphere and the whole place was very clean. Our server Ashley was fabulous! She was knowledgeable of menu items, offered suggestions and was the perfect amount of attentive. Never had to ask for anything more than once (and I'll admit that I'm a polite but needy customer), refills always on time, checked back often, but didn't hover. As a restaurant manager myself, I often try to poach great servers from other establishments (haha), but you could tell that Ashley enjoyed working there and she spoke highly of her current employer. That says a lot about the place also. Great job guys! I'll definitely be sending you more business, and I'll be back soon. Thanks for the great lunch!"
