Rian's Seafood Grill

"Rian’s Seafood Grill is a tucked away gem in Rice Military. I came in here with a group on Saturday afternoon, ready to get down on some Louisiana and Gulf coast style seafood. I knew I was going to like this place as soon as I entered. Smooth music blasting and people enjoying themselves over a drink or incredible smelling food. For starters, we ordered a spicy boudin link and the spinach and crab dip. The spicy boudin link was on another level! That’s the best boudin I’ve had on this side of the Sabine River. I almost ordered one more but I already had so much more food coming. They also brought out complimentary crackers to eat with the boudin. The spinach and crab dip was tasty and the chips that came with it were crispy and crunchy, lightly salted and perfect for scooping up the dip. Thicker than a snicker so they didn’t break while dipping. Next up was a shrimp po boy with a side of seasoned fries. I enjoyed this take on the po boy. Fully dressed to impress, the shrimp’ mayo, lettuce, pickles and tomato hit the spot, sitting in between two pieces of French bread that were crispy on the outside and soft as a pillow on the inside. The fettuccine pasta with chicken was delicious. Creamy and seasoned well, it was hard to stop eating. The shrimp and grits were a winner! Huge Gulf shrimp in cheese grits that were so creamy, I thought I was in a dream. I could eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a bar in the restaurant where the drinks were flowing and the people were glowing. The waitstaff was impeccable, stopping by several times to check on my party. The co owner stopped by several times as well and we discussed the food and the restaurant. Rian’s was an exciting dining experience in a comfortable, lively setting. I’ll definitely come back soon to support this business and the great people working here. You should too."

"An absolutely outstanding experience. Everyone should try this place out for their fantastic and authentic Cajun / Creole seafood options. We especially enjoyed the pasta, the fish of the day, and the shrimp and grits. Loved the crab fried rice side with my entree. The spinach and artichoke crab dip was outstanding as well for an appetizer. The owner served us actually since we got there very early. Wasn't a huge fan of the praline bread pudding. But I'm just not a huge praline fan. Maybe it's your gig"

"Walked by this place in our neighborhood and stopped in for some appetizers. What a great vibe and great service and food! We had the crawfish queso and the Brussels sprouts and they were amazing. The cocktails were awesome. The creole’s fashion and lemon drop were not to miss. We can’t wait to come back for dinner!"

"I HAD to write this review on this “hidden” gem Rian’s Seafood Grill. All I came say is OMG!!!!!!! I love this place. The food, ambiance, and hospitality are ALL fantastic. Sincerest kudos to Rodney, the manager of this beautiful establishment. In addition to the delicious food and flavorsome drinks, Rodney assembled an excellent staff that should be commended. I would especially like to thank Lizzie, our server. Her attention to detail, customer service skills, and knowledge of preparing cocktails are top-rate. She truly takes her job seriously and treats her customers with great respect and care; for that, she should be highly commended. So, if you are looking for a nice restaurant/bar for Happy Hour or Dinner, I strongly recommend Rian’s Seafood Grill, a place that offers exceptionally tasting food, good drinks, and a great vibe; I guarantee that you will be saying, “So long to Pappadeaux.”"

"Rodney and his team are cooking up some delicious Cajun favorites in their new spot. The spicy boudin was actually spicy and the salmon came out rare just how I ordered it. The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming and you can tell they take quality food and service seriously. Check them out!"
