Marathon Gas 195 Mary Grubbs Highway, Walton, KY 41094

"This place just can't be missed. It's a perfectly normal looking, newish gas station with a Wendy's attached. We stopped along a trip from Georgia to Michigan because we needed to replace a wiper refill and it looked well-lit, and we needed a pit stop anyway. The store itself is clean and well stocked, the Wendy's was fast and friendly. And then there's the women's room. Y'ALL THEY HAVE MFING DISCO LIGHTS IN THE LADIES ROOM AND A BIG RED BUTTON TO ACTIVATE THEM. In my shock and fear of embarrassing myself in public, I wussied out and didn't push the button. My boyfriend says there's no disco lights in the men's, sadly. Next time we make this trip, though, I am TOTALLY stopping back by and taking video."

"I'm literally hardly ever in this store. I may have been in it like 4 or 5x ever. As I approach the clerk to check out I believe his name was Brian. (Heavy set middle age man) I put my candy bar down at the same time I put my $20 bill down on the counter. I reach out to get my change the man goes around my hand and put the money on the counter instead of in my hand. When I asked him why he did this, his reply was because he had said hello twice to me and I never said hello once. He also stated that I did not deserve to have the money placed in my hand since I had placed the money on the countertop at the same time with the candy bar when I should have waited for him to give me my total and then place the money in his hand. Seems childish to me to have a grown man stand behind the counter and tell me that he was upset with me because I never said hello, and placement of the money was wrong. Spoke to the manager I believe she said her name was Rachel. She said she would have Heather contact me. With no surprise to me I never received a phone call from Heather. This man treated me this way knowing that he would not get into trouble. Knowingly mgmt wouldn't care enough to do anything about it. (Makes me wonder how many other people he done this to & NVR spoke up) Childish to say the least!!"

"This location REQUIRES you to use the restroom of the gender assigned to you at birth. No exceptions. Spend your money elsewhere."

"The attendant was super friendly gas was a very fair price and I was allowed to use the women's rest room since the men's was out of order (which the has SUPER clean by the way)"

"Well lit and clean. And staffed with employees that actually care. This franchise is smaller and located in the Florence Kentucky area. I’m not sure how many stores they have but I know they have at least four. It has a well stocked snack section as well as soda and beer. Unlike some major chains like circle K or Subway, they also have some tourist fare, things like Kentucky coffee cups and magnets. The fueling area is pretty large and also very well lit. It has 12 pumps including a few for diesel’s. It’s right off of 75 so there’s no getting lost if you’re traveling. And just a word of caution, there’s a heavy police presence in this area, you will always see a police officer or two cruising on the thoroughfare in front of this gas station. I think there must be a big police station nearby. So don’t speed!"
