Mexico Mi Amor

"UPDATED REVIEW: I left my original review below as a reference. I don't like leaving negative reviews unless they're really warranted. We've visited this restaurant almost 10 times. Most of these visits were fair to good. However, as time goes by, the food quality noticeably diminishes. These changes were subtle at first, but, on our visit tonight, our meals were obviously very old and overly reheated. The meats had lost virtually all flavors from too much time in a refrigerator or freezer and had been reheated so poorly the edges of the ground beef and chicken were hard and clumpy. I understand that restaurant profit margins are tight, but they are definitely pushing unused or premade meals beyond what's passable for a restaurant. It was disappointing, to say the least. I don't feel motivated to return like I have in the past. Frankly, this review would have been 1 star on its own, but I'm only downgrading from 5 to 3 based on averaging all visits and factors. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This was my first visit to this new restaurant. The building is unique and surprisingly spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The food was perfect. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. This place is an exciting addition to North Limestone and I wish everyone involved very well."

"ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! I just discovered this restaurant this evening, and I am so impressed! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is perfection, and the staff is lovely! I ordered the spinach&mushroom quesadilla and added onions. The presentation was beautiful and the meal was a very generous portion and cooked exactly right. I got queso also, and it is nice and rich with a slight zing to it. The salsa is perfection also. The churros are by far the best I’ve had in Lexington! My new favorite place and a great location!"

"Great New Mexican Restaurant. The place looks great, nice decorations and furniture. My husband ordered a burrito and I had a chicken dish. I would have preferred the chicken to be whole so I would be more tender and moist. The beans and refried Bernd were very tasty"

"Wait staff was very attentive. Overall good experience. Friday night at 7pm no wait to be seated. Salsa was pretty typical, fresh chips. Ordered shrimp quesdilla, good flavor. Husband ordered fajitas, portion was average but felt price was higher than most places. Ordered fried ice cream and flan for the table both were very good."
