Reviews
"I hate to write this review because I’ve always supported this establishment since the beginning. I haven’t been in a while , so I decided to go on this past Saturday. I ordered the fish and grits. The size of the fish has gotten smaller and it was no seasoning. My grits were watery and the cream sauce was watery as well. Both didn’t have any flavor. I was so disappointed because things have really changed since my last visit. You can automatically tell that the establishment has a new cook. I don’t know if I’ll return because I’m afraid to get this type of food again."
"Firstly i ordered food to go they wanted me to pay 10$ to park my car Then I was expected to pay a $10 tip on a to go order Then pay a fee to use my debit card I’ve never been to a business and been expected to pay to used my card it’s 2024 everybody uses there card I’m so disappointed with black own restaurants it’s a joke how our restaurants are ran. My food costing 50 should be to cover my cook cooking my food I don’t no why I’m expecting to pay a tip for a to go order"
"Drove around Houston looking for something on a Tuesday night. Came across this restaurant. Im so glad that they stay open till 1am. We had to pay $10 to park in the front. I order a drink called Mexican candy, didn't like it. It was too strong. I order the stuffed salmon with mashed potatoes and my friend order blackened catfish with dirty rice. Both entrees were good. The egg rolls was ok. Definitely will be back again."
"Went Saturday afternoon. Recommend rideshare because parking is limited and $10. They have an outside patio but we sat inside. Overall, we weren't impressed. The wait time for food was long. My friends did really enjoy the lamb chops, catfish and grits, and shrimp and grits. The DJ was not to my liking based on transitions. They would just play a mixture of hits."
"This place is a small little gem in 3rd Ward Texas. We went for Sunday brunch and were not disappointed. If you do not have a reserved section come early. The seating is limited and there is nowhere to wait inside. The food was delicious and a nice serving size for the price. An 18% gratuity is added to the check. Our waitress was good but stretched thin so our service was a little slow. She definitely checked on us when she could and she had a great attitude. The DJ kept the crowd dancing and singing and the whole place was a vibe. The restroom is a single-stall and fairly clean. Try the loaded Mimosa. You won't be disappointed. Although this place wouldn't be my first choice for brunch I would go back if invited."
