Green District Salads - Middletown

"I was a regular a few years ago at the St. Matthew's location. I decided to stop in to this location today to get a salad. I go thru the line and when I expect the clerk to start chopping the salad, she doesn't. She closes the lid and that was that! I asked her if she was going to chop it and she told me they no longer chop the salads. That if you want to have your salad chopped you have to ask. This is a big change from how it used to be. I thought the whole point of the salads to make this place different was that they chopped their salads? So she tells me you have to let them know at the beginning of the line. Of course, not knowing this ridiculous new rule, I did not ask for it chopped prior. She made an effort to chop it in a bowl but it was still not really chopped. She said that chopping the salads were too time consuming. Whoever came up with this dumb idea needs to rethink it. She also said that the ingredients are already prechopped and small. Wrong! I had shrimp, egg, edamame and olives in my salad that were still whole. Not at all what I wanted. I really think if you change such a big part of your business you should inform your customers so they can let them know to chop the salad ahead of time. Really dumb business move here as chopped salads and sandwiches are all the rage on social media. Basically this is just a salad bar now. Nothing special."

"The best salad I have ever had! I got the Ricky Bobby-Q which comes with BBQ Pulled Chicken.. Omg it was good! You can add whatever topping you can think of as well. Overall it was a complete and healthy meal! Everything was nicely pack inside the bowl! They have a rewards program as well so once you sign up you get $5 off your first order. I will most definitely be back!"

"Stop by when you're hungry; you'll never finish it if you're just wanting a little something. The staff is great and quick. The food is fresh, and the selection is diverse. You get a lot for your money. The drinks are unique as well. We did not have a wait, and there were plenty of tables. All the tables were clean, as was the refreshments area."
