"I saw the reviews and wondered if it would match the hype. After a warm welcome, I got 1/4 jerk chicken with yellow rice and a beef pastry. Every bite was packed with flavor, the portion size was perfect, and the sauces were tasty. I will be back."

"First time customer and I'm so happy I found this place. As soon as you step in to the restaurant the smell of home cooking let's you know you are about to get a treat. Young lady at counter talked me into the "Love Platter". It's a variety of everything. Jerk chicken, curry chicken, 2 types of rice, greens, and plantains. So much flavor in every bite. She also talked me into trying one of the beef hand pies. Filling was tasty and flavorful and the flaky, buttery crust was so good. Can't wait to try this place again!"

And if you haven’t tried it and looking for something different, you will be happy with the choice. The curry chicken is so tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Get it in a wrap or a bowl, combined with yellow rice and black beans or greens…always hits the mark. The half chicken plate, the sweet plantains, oh and the beef patties…yummy! "From California, I was staying in Louisville for work and decided to stop by while trying to rent a car and man. This place did not disappoint! Hands down the best jerk chicken, hell, any kind of chicken, I ever had. You could tell it was made with love and everyone was so enthusiastic even the customers! They knew what was up. "The Two Big Tacos Special will either make a single meal for a really hungry person - or two or three meals for someone with a smaller appetite! (One of the pictures is of the remains of the last taco!) I've never had Curry Chicken on a Taco, or Jerk Chicken, for that matter, but both tacos were huge, savory, juicy and packed with flavor. The Curry Chicken came with rice in the taco, so it was really filling. You get to choose how spicy you want your food, too. And it came with three kinds of sauces of varying flavors and heat. I will say that it was a 15 minute wait for my food - it was evening and it was busy - but I ordered a Beef Patty with my meal. I got home, opened my meal - no Beef Patty. I contacted them via FB Messenger and told them what happened, but I had a meeting to attend, and couldn't return to the restaurant. (The other of the pictures is of the patty I returned to get the next day!) They were very nice and apologetic about their oversight. For that reason, I will be back for more food!"
