Steak 'n Shake

"Not sure what to say, you walk in and order from kiosk then in order to get drinks you have to scan barcode from receipt one person at a time. And if you take too long machine cuts you off and you have to start all over. The person handing me food was super friendly but the place it self looked like i was in goodwill cafeteria if they ever had one. Bathrooms were disgusting honestly not sure how is that place still open. Food made me and my kids sick after we ate there, so never again I do not recommend anyone eat there."

"Don't have a lot of selections as before. Hate ideas of the baskets. Tried the chili, with fries and cheese was a total mess in the baskets. First you have to buy the fries w cheese and buy the chili. A big cost. Way more problems operating the ordering stations. When you take away things to save a buck you start to loose customers. So less does mean less ***'s."

"Update: I ate inside recently and was underwhelmed. They only have kiosks now so you can't order from an actual person. To me their brand reads old school diner and kiosk only customer service makes no sense. Order at the kiosk and pick up when then order is called. No human interaction. I am a fan of kiosk ordering but I would like the option to order from a person. Our drink/shakes came out well after we received our meal. Also, the employee that was wiping down tables during our recent visit showed too much skin in an area you don't want to see while eating. Previous: Steak n Shake is a non fast food restaurant with a window. I don't expect fast service but the food is typically really good. I love their shoe string fries, especially when they are covered with cheese. Burgers are good quality and flavorful."

"Just drive through. Has a wide variety of selection. They have lots of different milkshakes to choose from. Lots of different burgers with tons of toppings. I ordered a burger meal with a milkshake. The milkshake was delicious. The burger was delicious but the fries were cold. This place is definitely worth giving a try if you've never been to a steak 'n shake."
