"This restaurant was a HUGE disappointment. I took my husband there for his birthday and every aspect of our experience was bad. The food: The salads consist of 3 ingredients. Iceberg lettuce, 2 tiny tomato slices and one cucumber slice for $7 each. Our steaks were luke warm and had zero flavor or seasoning what so ever. Just a piece of warm meat. We don't generally use steak sauce on a well prepared steak, but we needed it for these. Our server was spread way too thin and it took forever to get anything. So we ended almost finishing our food before we got any steak sauce and when it finally came out there was so much gunk around the lid I could barely get it open and then the bottle was almost empty. The rolls were barely warm as well. We both got baked potatoes and green beans which were fine. Nothing special. The complementary dessert for his birthday was a nice touch, but again nothing special. Atmosphere: Grandma's house. Service: Subpar. Which wasn't so much the servers fault as much as they appeared to be under staffed. I wouldn't normally write a bad review for a local business, but it was so bad that we felt ripped off. I would normally reach out to the management directly, but based on our experience it seems like they just don't really care anymore."
"I feel like people come to this place for the nostalgia. The food just isn’t very good and definitely overpriced. I visited this restaurant on a Saturday and it was extremely crowded. We had excellent service. The seating was great too. The restaurant has a lot of old charm. The only thing this restaurant is missing is quality food! Multiple people with my party ordered the house salad. It came with lettuce 2 slices of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber with dressing of choice for $7! It was the saddest salad I ever seen. Literally nothing on it, not even cheese. I couldn’t believe it! I had the pork chops and the rest of my table all ordered steaks. Everything was just so greasy and lacked flavor. We all ordered the bake potatoes. The best part was the vegetables! They came out family style so you could try all of them. They were the only things I thought were decent tasting. Dinner rolls were cold and lack flavor. The presentation wasn’t anything special either. I considered this restaurant to be fine dining but left feeling like I could have had a better meal at outback at a more affordable price. I had high hopes for this restaurant but didn’t eat anything memorable to keep me coming back in. If you’re looking for a memorable quality meal this isn’t it. Move on and go elsewhere. Definitely felt like it wasn’t money well spent when I left."
"Very Interesting place. It really does smell like grandma's house. Think musty... Lots of history on the walls. I had the meatloaf and it was really really good. I was big enough of a portion to share. I also ordered a side of hashbrowns and a sweet potato, and unfortunately the hashbrowns were cold. The sweet potato was cooked perfectly. Overall I'd say the food is OK but the service was really excellent."
"Great food, wonderful service. Made for a perfect birthday celebration! My wife had the Ribeye & really enjoyed it. I had the NY Strip, and it was great. The wedge salad is a classic, and did not disappoint. Chicken noodle soup was excellent. Wonderful dessert for the birthday girl too! Highly recommend!"
"Dined here last night for my hubbys 30th birthday and had the best time! Food was amazing and the ambiance was nice and quaint. Service was awesome too!"
