El Nopal Mexican Cuisine 2745 Crittenden Drive, Louisville, KY 40209

"The entrance to this location is very confusing as it shares a front entrance with an italian restaurant. There is no clear signage for El Nopal. The italian restaurant employees pointed out where to go. There was no problem being seated we were there for a late lunch. To begin with, their menu takes forever to look at. It's about five pages long, running front to back. It's impossible to see it all. Our waiter was friendly and made sure we had everything. When they brought our chip's and salsa the salsa was in little plastic bottles. We had to dump into tiny bowls. Could not figure out the point of that. Our food came fast and was blazing hot. More like a hot mess! It was truly disgusting. I had all beef enchilada, burrito and a tostada. The whole plate was swimming in sauce. Heaping portions of greasy ground beef. I never saw the bottom of my tostada, it just disintegrated into mush, like the rest of the plate. I won't be returning."

"First time in and very impressed with the place! The food looks good and tastes good. I ordered some to go and some to eat there I ordered the Taco salad and added some shrimps (a dollar per shrimp). The taco salad looks good, but the green peppers and onion weren't cooked.. my taco salad was full of onion and green peppers. I gave them a 3"

"Very well made food. Great and friendly service as well. Food was fresh and well made. Really tasty. We got a burrito grande (the one with red in the sauce), the burrito gigante (the white sauce) and a meal where your u.makenyournown tortillas (I forget the name but they give you tortillas on the side) All the food was fresh and well made. Not spectacular tasting or anything fancy but I would definitely eat again because it was good."

"What a pleasant surprise. Thank you El Nopal for having decent Mexican cuisine with generous lunch/dinner portions with fast service. Now despite, my order being incorrect, the restaurant manager quickly corrected it and made it right without hesitation. So excellent customer service in a clean and spacious atmosphere. Definitely give them a try for lunch or dinner."
