Reviews of Sleepy Rooster Morning Kitchen
"Our brunch bunch visited for the first time today. Our waitress was so kind and on the ball!! There were 8 of us. The food presentation was beautiful, but on the cold side. It tasted good though. The hot brown lacked seasoning and heat. The restaurant is bright and cheerful. We will go back."
"It wasn’t very inviting. But the food was not even subpar it’s not good I was so disappointed everything you can tell was premade packaged food. We got chicken and waffles , the steak melt , the kids got chicken tenders and the breakfast plate. Also everything is a la carte including the kids meals drinks that’s surprising. We don’t mind paying for excellent food but food totaling 90 dollars and not good at all has prompted me to post a review. The service I usually don’t complain and always leave a tip but with bad food and just not so good service I couldn’t bring myself . My husband did enjoy the mimosa . I had the spiked horchata it was ok. This was definitely a disappointment and we love brunch spots . Save your money !"
"First, let's talk about how much flavor they packed into my breakfast. I had the morning tacos, and they tasted simply phenomenal! They are super messy from the tortillas getting wet, but the flavor is well worth the mess. The pancakes are truly gigantic. It's a great tasty treat for the whole family!"
"Wasn't sure what to expect? They had mixed reviews. We very pleased with our breakfast! Our daughters pancake was bigger than her plate! She didn't even eat 1/4 because it was so huge! My wife had breakfast tacos she loved. I had farmers omelette with hash browns that was excellent. Very reasonable prices and generous portions."
"Went here for breakfast. We got to the restaurant around 8:00 am and there was no wait, so we were immediately seated. Great ambience, nice service, good food! Price range is mid-level, comparable to other breakfast/brunch places in the area. Dishes were about $12-16. My husband ordered the hangry platter-- it's their take on the usual breakfast platter (eggs, bacon and toast). It came with Belgian waffles which we loved. The strawberry syrup that came with the waffles satisfied our sweet tooth. The waffles are also perfectly cooked-- crisp on the edges but soft and tasty on the inside. I recommend getting the waffles as your side. I ordered their early bird hash skillet, which is loaded with carefully cut roasted vegetables and smothered with cream sauce. I like the portions of the dish-- the amount of potato hash did not feel overwhelming, the vegetables were well cooked and roasted, and the cream sauce did not drown the whole dish and overpower the other components. For our beverage, I ordered the cappuccino and husband got the cold brew. Cappuccino was very good. For $4, I'd order it again. Husband ordered the cold brew for $6. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would probably go back and try other food in their menu!"
