The Restaurant at Paris Landing

"I so wanted to give a great review of this restaurant, but it wasn't really that great. We ordered mahi mahi, and a barbecue bacon burger. The burger came out completely wrong, so it went back to the kitchen. When it came back, it didn't have all the ingredients and the fries were cold. The fish and sides were good, but quite salty. The waitress was nice though."

"We visited on a Tuesday about 2 pm. It wasn't busy. We wanted to sit at a table near the window but all those tables were dirty. I told the hostess that we'd wait at the bar so she could clean one of them (or find someone to clean them) She was appalled that I would suggest that she clean a table, as that was not her job. We remained at the bar, as no attempt was made to clean the desired tables. Sadly, the food was no better than the attitude of the hostess. The staff needs to visit Oak Lawn restaurant to learn what real food and service is supposed to be!"

"The food is good and so is the service. It is a beautiful new building with plenty of big glass windows with great views of the lake. The problem is the glass looks like it has a film on it. If you have all that glass, keep it clean. I would say this is an upscale place. At least you would think so, seeing the prices , but the table tops are chipped, and they have mustard and ketchup displayed on every table like a 1950s diner. It's a shame the new lodge is only a year old. In closing, I noticed that the same banister was loose just like it was a year ago when we were first here. Disappointing."

"We went there for an early dinner a few weeks ago. It was fairly crowded and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait which was fine with us..We sat outside and enjoyed the view while we waited. We were seated in an area at a table next to a family who came in right after us. After about 10 minutes I started looking around trying to catch the attention of a server to take our drink orders. Several employees walked right past us after making eye contact. 15 minutes later no one had come to take our drink orders or our food requests. The table with the family who came in after us got their drinks and appetizers while we continued to wait. It was obvious that we hadn't ordered yet because we still had our menus. When the table next to us got their entrees, and we were still waiting to give our orders, we decided to leave. My husband tracked down someone. He may have been a manager. He said sorry about that. I'll be happy to take your drink orders now. We declined. Any of the servers who had walked back and forth past us for over 30 minutes could have summoned a hostess or taken out drink orders."
