"My husband ate at Holly Hill Inn tonight. It was great! Every course was flavorful and cooked just right. We didn’t get the optional appetizers, though they sounded wonderful. I am glad I had plenty of room for the soup, steak and banana cake. When we first came in, noises coming from the kitchen were a little loud, but as more people filled the room and the evening got underway the kitchen noises disappeared. The wait staff were friendly and attentive."
"My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and we are very disappointed we spent so much money on the dinner we were served. The water tasted like dirt so my husband ordered a beer. My husband said the scallops he had were under seasoned and though they were supposed to be bourbon flamed, had no bourbon flavor at all. He said the corn the scallops were served on was good. His halibut and shrimp were both overcooked and bland. I enjoyed the salad I ordered, as well as the quail, but my quail came with little corn cakes that were gummy/gluey. The chocolate cherry bombe we had for dessert was the highlight, though the cherry cordial flavor in the center was overly intense. It took the kitchen 2 hours to serve our four courses, which seemed like a long time to me. The staff was friendly and kind and the atmosphere is charming. It was a tough pill to swallow to pay the $$$ check after our disappointment in the food. For the price, we expected more."
"Now this place would typically be out of my price range but we recently had a company Christmas dinner here and I did not have to pay the bill. So that being said, the food was amazing. I had a five course meal and it was top notch. Specifically the 7 Fishes Salad and the roasted duck were delicious. The wine pairing was on point as well. I can't imagine what this kind of meal would cost but if you ever get the chance to have someone else pick up the tab, go for it!"
"Fantastic dinning experience as we celebrated our anniversary. The set menu was perfect. Excellent service, food and drink. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. Thanks to Connor for taking care of us."
"Amazing dining experience! All of our selections for the four course dinner and wine pairing were fantastic. Above the food and service we also really enjoyed the historic home and learning the history of the former owners and uses of the property. Highly recommend!"
