"Very pleasant spot to have a cup of coffee. Lots of seating indoors, with extra seating on a mezzanine level. Plenty of plugs and zippy wifi. Light pours in through the large windows along the front and one side of the building, and the lighting and decor complement the old bank building vibe. The outdoor seating is a little limited, but since it's right on a busy intersection, it's not an outdoor space in which you'd want to linger anyway."
"I love, love, LOVE this place!! Every time I come it's just a great place to study and I love seeing the staff, which are AMAZING. I'm curious as to why the espresso shots are pulled completely before starting to prepare the milk - may be a machine thing. The only thing I would improve on would be the number of outlets. As far as I know, the only outlets are on the outside windows and upstairs at the tables by the other wall."
"Why why WHY would you do this to a beautiful historical building? I thought the whole point of using such a cool building was for the vibe (old bank safe, retro Chicago style lights, etc). Then WHY paint the exterior to be so hideously garish?!"
"We recently met up with a J-Town friend for coffee at Quill's, & were impressed right away with the lovely art deco ambiance and the cool vault door. It's a neat place to visit. The coffee itself was pretty decent, but as someone who enjoys coffee drinks that are flavourful but not too sweet, I found their options a little lacking. Even the half-syrup choice had a lot more sugar than I would ever choose, and there weren't a ton of flavour choices. If you like black coffee, you'll be a happy camper! This won't eclipse my go-to coffee spots but it is definitely a cool location to visit."
"I would go again. Coffee was really good. Just stuck with the house blend and it was pretty smooth. The HVAC system was very loud the entire time. Had to walk outdoors twice to hear my phone calls. Also no music due to the background noise."
