Mugunghwa

"Came here on a Friday night around 9 pm with a group of 7 and there was plenty of space for seating. The decor here is super cute and the bathrooms are also nicely lit! And aside from the main eating area, there’s a separate room for karaoke! We were already super full from eating kbbq from another spot so we just came here for drinks. I don’t think it was written anywhere on the menu but someone from our friendgroup saw that this spot had a soju drink inside a whole watermelon so we asked for that. This drink is literally pureed watermelon with soju inside (I think the owner told us they added 2 soju bottles). I’m not sure if it’s because we ate so much prior to coming here but we were all struggling to finish it. The quantity of liquid is insane and the drink itself was very light and refreshing! It was a great way to end the night after a heavy dinner. Aside from the delicious drink, the vibes and service were amazing! I really appreciate how the owner came to our table and checked up on us. She was super sweet/welcoming and expressed her gratitude for our business. Overall, we had a great time at MuGunghwa and I hope to come back and try their food!"

"I enjoyed the chill laid back ambience. The food was really fragrant, delicious and made me feel good. So much flavor and I feel like it’s healthier too (besides the fries haha) I didn’t get to take a pic before I drank it but they have an Ube Mixed drink! It’s so good! I’ll be back."

"Please don’t ever hosts events ever again. After going to the Chuseok event recently, the service was the worst I’ve ever had. This was my first time there and I was amazed how horrible the service was. I usually don’t complain, but the time I came out to spend and attempt to attend one of their events like Chuseok was a waste of my time. The waiters had to apologize to us 3 times. Like I said, I hardly ever complain, but to have the waiters apologize for 1) waiting on our table even though we had a reservation 2) the main entree was almost 1 hour late and 3) the dessert was out and gave out whatever they had without even asking us if it was ok. The other waiters were able to explain the event for the other customers while we were just seated the entire time. Others had their food come out first, and nothing about that event was welcoming. Even with the rebrand, I am not sure if this will improve. I felt very bad for the waiters working under such conditions. The food was great! Whoever the chef was, I applaud because I love Korean food. Otherwise, good luck with the place and please don’t ever host an event where everyone is not engaged in it even when they were the least bit interested."
