"I always do all my shopping online or call the JJ store in highland village. I was looking for a specific item, it was sold out online and the only store close that had it was the woodlands. The first young lady that did my phone order was nice and helpful. When I called to get a tracking # because I hadn’t received my order, this older lady answered but sounded like she was annoyed and would answer in a tone. Might be the same one that followed me around one time I came in."
"Be advised. Racist employee. (Short brown hair, mole on face, always wearing a scowl) There is an old bitter woman here who seems to get her jollies by harassing hispanic, black or Asian patrons. I have witnessed this firsthand. We spend thousands on J&J clothing for my girls. We avoid this brick & mortar location because of this bitter old hag. Let me elaborate. My wife is Hispanic, and when she attempted to use a coupon or swap out an online purchase for a different size, this old woman was condescending, rude, and snubbed her nose at my wife. But when I do it (a white man) she behaves. This has happened on more than one occasion. Numerous people have complained about this old bag. J&J needs to address this. Perhaps J&J refuses to address this habitual offender because they condone this type of behavior."
"I am very disappointed in the customer service provided by Maria. She was both unacceptable and unprofessional. This was my first time shopping here but will be my last. I came to return unworn items with all tags still attached as bought. The sale associate asked what was the return reason. I told her it was fitting issues. She then said “you were here with your husband and babies when he made the purchase.” Yes, but we soon realized later on that some items didn’t fit right because the kids tried the items on top of their clothes at the store. After inspecting all the clothing items, she said only 4 of the 5 items can be returned and pointed to some barely noticeable “spot” on the shirt. While I’m still searching for the “spot”, she went on and said “you can’t return this either” and pointing to the elastic leg holes on the 3-6 months old romper. I said that I’m willing to take the shirt back since my toddler may have inadvertently created a stain without me knowing while trying in store. She then flipped the 3-6 months romper over and then pointed to a general area and stated “the item is damaged so [she] can’t return it.” I said that is unfair since all we did was try on. I asked her why won’t she recheck the other 3 items like how she rechecked the romper. She responded “I’m not going to recheck them” and proceeded on with her scanning, produced a receipt for me to sign. I asked her “What is your name?” and she responded “I’m the manager and my name is on the receipt.” I found out her name is Maria on the receipt. I left the store feeling disrespected and wronged. If she is the manager and representing the company and with this type of customer service, I’d advise anybody to shop somewhere else."
"I usually come to this store to buy cute pieces during various holidays and I always get weird comments from the employees. I’ll get comments such as, oh is this your first child? In regards to me buying an outfit. They give me a weird look while asking and I feel that’s completely inappropriate. This past visit, I told an employee who was helping me that I was shopping for an outdoor Easter boho shoot with a goat. So, I was looking for a clean and simple look. The lady just rolled her eyes and scurried along. I don’t see why they have an issue with me purchasing for my son and I feel that it isn’t their place to have a visible opinion. It just makes me feel like I am judge for shopping here and I feel like I have a right to shop here without this type of judgement."
"Janie and Jack has the cutest clothes for kids. I love love their clothes but this particular store has horrible customer service. If you are like me where I usually can find a cute dress but need help completing the outfit, this is not your place to go. They are always busy talking to one another or too busy setting something up or folding clothes or doing nothing. If they do help, it always feels like they are in a rush. I shop online and love the feature where you add an item and it gives suggestions on how to complete the outfit."
