"A really great atmosphere to be at if you're in the area! They have video games, comic books, a room to play table tennis and overall great people here. They also have The Simpsons playing on repeat which is always nice. My only real issue with the place is that the restrooms aren't exactly clean and parking can be very hectic. Other than that, I enjoy it here!"
"While the bar itself is amazing and makes you feel like you're in your friends basement to hang out, It's not a safe area. There are about 7 parking spaces up front and then there is a parking lot right accross where we saw to people getting into a fight. They dont have cameras there and they don't consider it their area to watch over even though there is nowhere else to park. There are crack heads all over the area who will try to scam you into paying them for parking then just walk off and then my friends car got broken into along with two others. While we were trying to figure it out there was endless cat calling from guys going to the bar and crackheads watching and following us. We asked neils bar about security cameras and they just told us not to park there next time and just that yeah there are crack heads there. Bar tenders were chill in terms of serving but the security guard payed no attention. Not a great place to go if you are a woman."
"Super cool bar near downtown, George R Brown Convention Center, and Minute Maid Park. Fun setting with retro video games, many books, and magazines from years past! Wonderful staff, and this is a must visit for chill’n with a beverage and great vibes! Cheers!"
"New to Houston, first time here last night, and I implore anyone and everyone to check this place out! Good prices, good staff, good things to do. The only negative thing THAT WASNT THEIR FAULT was the sting operation of a lot behind their building that towed me, and I felt SO bad that I wasn’t able to tip the bar(even though I only spent $10) and while the lady behind the bar didn’t seem to care too much for my sob story as to why I did not tip, it will not affect my return to this place, and hopefully with an actual tip these hard working people deserve!"
"Once we walked into the bar we were greeted by a bartender that goes by the name grandpa. Such a nice gentleman. He had us laughing once we met him. Great atmosphere and highly recommend this place for a good drink"
