"Great brewery!! Stopped by en route from LA to Fort Worth. Picked up the Sky Pie Pecan Porter and the I Seek a Darkness dark ale. Sooo good!!"
"Nice brewery with plenty of choices for the beer enthusiasts including a “dark IPA” that was unfamiliar to this connoisseur. Favorite would be the I-40 IPA(crisp bite), then Fast and Hazy(super hazy) followed by Let the People Dance (very lemony). Big indoor patio with plenty of seating"
"Amarillo is not exactly known as a craft beer Mecca, but the ones we have a damn good. Pondaseta opened on Amarillo’s southwest side in fall 2018, survived COVID by shifting to curbside pickup and innovative ways to sell merch and snacks in order to remain open, and then picked up where it left off with an aggressive schedule of about one new beer every week. And I have yet to taste a beer I didn’t like that Kaleb and Trever have brewed. Because of that, Pondaseta has been my go-to throughout their five years, and now that they’re adding a second location in nearby Canyon, you know they’re on to something good. For a long time, independent food trucks and trailers provided pub grub, but then Pondaseta bought its own trailer, which makes it a brewpub. Kind of, I guess. The new location, though, will be in a huge historic depot, and will have a complete restaurant. And yes, I have already let it be known that I will be holding some of my office hours for students at that location. Because beer. Damn good beer. My faves at Pondaseta are I-40 IPA and The Fast And The Hazy, two of the four core beers. I have also loved on their other IPAs introduced for brief runs, as well as their Sky Pie Pecan Porter. Think desert beer. That one is for sipping, not slamming. For my dinner, I went with the Classic Burger, subbing the Beyond patty, and holding the cheese and special sauce. I wished not down with a couple of I-40s, and then short pours of their two winter beers, Festivus Winter Lager and Mukluk Winter Ale. Pondaseta is definitely worth taking the off-ramp from I-40, and cruising south on Coulter a couple of miles to get a few pints of a much better I-40."
"Good beer and great service! There is a good truck outside, which looked like it had some good food. There is a decent variety of beer here, all the ones we tried were quality poura. This brewery is definitely worth a stop!"
"The best in Amarillo, and one of the best in Texas! Wide range of beers. Relaxed, but professional atmosphere. Cool, metallic stickers. Excellent food truck that can be added to your tab (get the onion rings)"
