Reviews of Jiffy Lube
"****AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS**** AVOID THE MANAGER MARTIN***They will break your car, admit to it and then tell you to leave with out doing anything to fix it. Worst customer experience I have ever had in any customer service setting. My girlfriend had taken her car into Jiffy Lube at 13000 W Parmer Lane, Cedar Park, Texas 78613. There was nothing wrong with her car before going in, just needed an oil change. After getting home we noticed a loud scrapping sound coming from underneath the car and found the the skid plate that was taken off to do the oil change, and was only halfway put back on - so it was scrapping the road badly. Once I was made aware of their screw up and inability to properly put the care back together after doing a simple oil change, we drove right back. They agreed to take a look and started to put it back together, then i heard one employee talking with the Manager MARTIN asking for "zip ties" to put the skid plate back on. Keep in mind, all of the original hardware was on the car prior to going in for the oil change. Once I heard them talking about zip ties I got out of the car and asked the manager MARTIN what the zip ties were for. He proceeded to tell me to get back in the car and he would tell me after they were done. MARTIN then told me to pull forward and that they were all done "fixing the car". I asked him again about the zip ties and he told me that some of the hardware was missing and they were trying to use the zip ties as a replacement. I told MARTIN that all the original hardware was in place prior to coming to there location and the staff were the ones who took it off and either miss placed it or due to there indecency in putting a simple plastic piece back on led to the hardware falling off due to the skid plate scrapping down the road. MARTIN agreed and took responsibility for the missing hardware but did nothing about it. It is as if he just truly did not care that he broke the car and was just trying to push people through there as fast as possible. MARTIN the manager showed some of the worst customer experience I have ever had. I never write reviews about places, but I feel the need to warn people about this location and MARTIN in particular. We all work very hard for our money and cars and too see someone in a management position awknowledge they broke a perfectly fine car and then proceed to say they were not going to do anything about it is honestly terrifying. Just be extremely careful in picking this location ESPECIALLY if you plan on having any major work done to your vehicle."
"I would like to believe they were honest and reasonable. They should have informed customers about how much will be paid before beginning the work. As professionals, they have responsibility to provide as much detail as possible."
"I will never take my vehicle to Jiffy Lube again. The last time I was there my truck leaked motor oil all over my driveway and I don’t know for sure that they put the correct oil in. So I had it changed again at Benny Boyd dodge in Lampasas."
"I called them for state inspection for my toyota camry, they quoted $100 for this. This is way above average cost for state inspection."
"My husband took my car for an oil change and everything seemed ok. But the oil sensor went off so my husband checked the oil … he added a quart of oil to the vehicle. But the oil light kept on going off. So I asked my husband to take it back so they could check it … he did that. Well he came home and told me the did another oil change to the vehicle. We had just had one done in March so I said ok that’s nice. My husband explained to me that they told him that it needed to get the oil pump and the oil light sensor checked because it could be either or. So a few days go by and I say that because we don’t drive a lot so we started noticing a burnt oil smell to the vehicle and then large oil spots everywhere we went that one day. Looked like a quart of oil spilled out on the cement. I was extremely worried that my vehicles oil pump was going out on us. Well, we got home safely… called road side assistance to transport our vehicle to the Firestone close by to the Jiffy Lube. Come to find out after they did their assessment was Jiffy Lube over filled my vehicle with oil - it destroyed the sensor as well. Cost me $263 dollars…My husband went back to Jiffy Lube and the manager would not compensate us for their mess up. He claims that because he did the oil change that he knows it was the sensor. That’s why he wouldn’t compensate us. So, if that was the case why did he tell my husband it was the oil pump or the sensor ? Why add more oil? Obviously he didn’t check to see how much oil there was in it already? That’s why Firestone told me they added too much oil! People be ware Firestone told me they get a lot of “their” customers (Jiffy Lube) because of issues with their oil changes. Basically they do poor work. My sister lives in Vista Ridge hade problems with Jiffy Lube as well. Almost messed up her Lexus. If you like your car take it to Firestone… they are awesome! They obviously have qualified technicians there and they are so nice! I’m calling corporate see what they have to say about this. I apologize for how the photos look but these are 2 different locations. That gives you an idea on how much too much is in regards to over putting without checking before putting oil in someone car!"
