Reviews of CHURROHOUSE
"UPDATE - started eating the churro, flipped and saw a speck on something on the top. At first glance I thought it was foil baked into the churro, but it’s not foil. I can’t tell what it was. Gray/black on one side and white on the other. Was not thin enough to paper but not thick enough to be metal. Did not go back because I was already too far away and won’t be passing back by either. Don’t plan to come purchase anything else here. Added photos and videos of the mystery speck. Would like my $4.87 back though and hope I don’t get sick from eating the other parts of the churro. The general space of the restaurant is very nice and appears to be clean. They don’t have posted menus so you cannot look ahead of time to know what you want when it’s your turn to order. There is one set of laminated, paper menus that could stand to be cleaned, 3 pages containing different items from wings to coffee….I was not rushed to order as it was my first time coming, so I did not know what specifically they offered. I just wanted a plain old churro, but wanted to know the price. It was $4.87 with tax for the “OG” Churro. After I ordered, I figured it be a short wait before he got to my order considering a couple had just placed an order before mines, so I went to the restroom. The door to the restroom does not like and the sink was filthy. I came out and the couple before me had drinks, but not their food items. The worker went to the back to make the churros I’m assuming because he was back there for about 5 minutes. He came out with a tray of churros, and touched his pants while wearing the gloves that he was about to sugar coat our churros with. The churro was hot and fresh, not overly greasy, which is good. Tasted good. I expected it to be overpriced because it’s a boutique style churro place, but you can definitely get the same or better at a mom and pop Mexican stand."
"The guy taking me and my husbands order was really rude. My husband ordered wings, fries, smoothie, and a churro ice cream for us to share. Before I even ordered he said that was too much food. I ordered a soda and a churro dog for us to try. He also added more food that we didn’t order so we had to have him take it off and give us a refund for it. I’ve never had anyone make me feel so bad for spending almost $50 at their establishment. My husband said the milkshake, the wings, the churro ice cream were good, the churro dog was not good, The fries were decent. The soda was flat. Unfortunately I didn’t eat much, being told you’ve ordered too much food before you’ve even ordered anything kinda makes you not want to eat anything. Safe to say we won’t be coming back, which is very disappointing."
"Service was good, owner is very energetic and talkative! Drinks have been good, nice quality of coffee! Might be too sweet for my liking, but everything has been a great experience"
"Came in as this was me and my boyfriend first time trying the establishment no greeting customer service was very poor, no help with recommendations just a look as if we were bothering them. Received our sundae not sure if the ice cream was old or what but it was definitely hard and gooey like broke my spoon trying to scoop it out. We did Dine in and the tables were not clean overall as a pregnant lady craving churros definitely wasn’t what I expected don’t think I’ll come back"
"We really enjoyed the churros here! But do your homework if it's your first time like it was ours. The person that took our order was not at all helpful. No suggestions. No small talk. No smile. I probably would have ordered more since we drove in from the other side of town. Not very welcoming."
