"I'm still having problems with my stereo. Talked me into a stereo that I thought was going to look nice in my ride and wasn't mounted right or had the proper face plate. That they insure me that they had. And now because of the improper install my AC and heat comes on by itself. I'm having a war on cutting it off while it turns on.. while driving.."

"A1 was unknown to me. I selected them based upon a neighbor who had “good luck” five years earlier. My vehicle is a 1998 Chevy S10 Pickup Truck with Extended Cab. The truck has 62,000 miles. It is in fantastic condition. I bought a new aftermarket system from Crutchfield for my 1998 Chevy S10 Pickup Truck. The system was installed by A1. Crutchfield sent the wrong unit. I only knew that when A1 completed the installation and found the gear shift lever impacted the screen. (BTW, Crutchfield knocked themselves out to make me happy, they sent the correct unit overnight, at their expense, with a $100 gift card). Anyone can make a mistake. Crutchfield made me a happy customer. I returned to A1 a second time to have correct system swapped out. That system was installed and works as expected. 1. Three times during the two installations I was called at work by A1 and asked technical questions about the install. Each time I referred them to Crutchfield. Each time Crutchfield answered A1 questions. The questions were routine. A1 should have known the answers and not bothered me at work. 2. When I picked up my truck the first time, I found the driver side door lock popped open when the engine was started. I brought it to A1’s attention. A disrespectful argument ensued. A1 admitted they ran down my truck battery (aftermarket system instructions are to disconnect the battery cable, they did not). I spoke to the shop supervisor, an incredibly average man, who knows everything about everything. He insisted I call my mechanic, before I left A1, to ask how they fixed the door lock three years earlier. The mechanic told A1 supervisor to disconnect the battery cable for 30 seconds. The A1 supervisor could not be troubled to do that for me. 3. While waiting for my truck in the A1 store I overheard an argument with another customer. After the customer stormed out of the store the A1 owner felt it was necessary to tell me; “he is on drugs.” 4. Two days I took the truck on a road trip. During that time, I found dash had a crack in it from the installation. (See photo) 5. The entire front of the dash now has a ¾ inch gap and does not fit properly. 6. I discovered the Passenger Airbag switch was hanging loose from the dash. (See photo) 7. The rear window had a tint film installed three months earlier. While installing the speaker behind the driver the film was scratched. (See photo) Why did I not bring these last four items to A1’s attention? First, I was not in the mood for another disrespectful and unproductive argument. Second, I don’t trust A1 to touch any of my vehicles now or in the future."
