"What an absolute nightmare. All of those horrible things you hear about car mechanics doing, they did just about every one of them. I went in because my car was overheating. Alex, was the employee who I spoke to, said he could "smell a leak" as soon as he walked outside and that he noticed my car was abnormally hot. The car was not abnormally hot, I wasn't even sweating driving it---so that was definitely just bogus. The next morning, he calls me and says there isn't a leak but I do need to do around $1100 in repairs (for what I found out was just a thermostat needing to be changed). They then were for some reason looking at my suspension and was saying I need to have work done on that. I wasn't having any issues with my suspension prior to bringing it up there. They charged $169 just for a diagnostic. And when I was leaving the parking lot, I immediately noticed my car is significantly lower to the ground. Do not bring your car here. What a scam. Wes is an alright guy though, I like Wes. But Alex shouldn't be around cars. "I can smell a leak." What a buffoon."

"Wes is an amazing asset to the team at Kinney's. I've been using Kinney's Auto for over 10 years. Would not have considered taking my vehicle's anywhere else. Kinney ALWAYS made sure his customers were happy and ANY issues resolved immediately. After his departure I started to see a decline in quality of work and customer service. I started to look for another auto repair service, but decided to give them 1 more try. I am glad I did. "Sadly, Kinney's has changed. I've been bringing my RV there for a few years and each year it's a bit different. First, they don't do appointments, they do scheduling windows. That means you leave your vehicle there and they get to it in 3 - 5 days after you drop it off so they can fix it at their convenience. Second they are very aggressive about upselling. (You bring it in for an early transmission service vs manufacturer's recommendations and they immediately try to sell you on a coolant system flush well ahead of schedule. Finally, they don't do what they say they will do and you have to ask just the right questions to figure that out. The good news is once you catch them in a "gotcha" they do fix it. As for me it's too much work. It's time for a new shop."
