Reviews of Journeys
"The costumer service are horrible. The employees dint say a “hello” when you walk in. They just ignored you, I think is because I look young. That’s the reason I prefer go to Cielo Vista Journey, it’s a little far. But they are nice. And they always say you “hello”."
"Bought some American made stuff, but way too much on our NO BUY list."
"I'd like to give the young man that helped fit my grandson with new shoes at this location today. I don't remember his name, but he was extremely patient, helpful and professional. I'll definitely be going back for more shoes soon. Good job!!"
"Manager Marlene is uncourteous and treated me like a Ken for her emplyees mistake. Strong feeling she did not like white people. Received a call back from their stores district manager David and he did nothing to help. He actually defended his employee and made the situation worse. That shows you the lack of respect they have for customers."
"This location has really shown me what it's like to work for Journeys and how the brand functions as a firm. I was called to interview across state lines for this location because they pulled my application from New Mexico and asked if I wanted to interview for an opening in Canutillo. Once I was in the interview, they actually stated that the position was not available but they're always accepting applications and doing interviews for candidates to see if there's potential for an employee to be brought on board to help the company grow, and if so, then there would be a position made available. I saw this as a first red flag given that they straight up told me they weren't hiring but if they liked what I brought to the table then they would make a spot for me. The second red flag was when I was interviewing and they told me that I would get a percentage of the store metrics as a commission pay on top of my personal commission sales and that I would be paid for the commute from driving across state lines for over an hour to get to work every single day. This was a bold-faced lie that was used only to draw me into the position because I never saw these numbers reflected on my paycheck 3 weeks after I started working for the company. I tried clarifying with the store manager Marlene but was told different things from my interview and found that both her and the district manager David had made promises in person but never on paper, so they failed to live up to those promises. The third red flag was how the associates and managers will adamantly persist on selling and using tactics to upsell customers but will absolutely discriminate against Mexicans from Juarez that visit the location to shop. I had a manager straight up tell me that people from Juarez do not purchase anything so I don't have to bother talking to them. Management allowed a stock associate to be on her phone Non-Stop while working on the clock simply because they did not want to go through the effort of terminating her and having to go through the training process with a new team member. Read reviews on the company further and not just this location because this specific store is absolutely horrible, but the company itself is far worse. Spend your money elsewhere and avoid Journeys at all costs."
