"FIRST, the lady that's the cashier. Long Brown hair, maybe 5'4, 50+, same one everybody says is rude, needs let go. She was super awful to a female employee just trying to help me, then she was rude to me because she was being confusing on the sale. She snapped at me like 3 times. If I go in and she's working imma walk right back out. Second, pricing...yall are starting to get a bit out of hand. There were the 2 boxed, maybe a foot long, white cubby shelves that hang on a wall. They had $50 on them $50!!!! New those are $30 on Amazon I looked them up. Those things are donated free of charge to yall. Many of the ppl helping in the store are unpaid and getting in there community service hours. Don't pull a Goodwill. Ppl finally wised up around here and man their shelves are empty. There's a movement to not donate to thrift stores that overprice donated items or shop there. I don't care what brand a shirt is but $8 for a used donated shirt is ridiculous. $40 on jackets? I get better prices new at Ross. Poor ppl go to those places to find items they need that they can afford. I'm aware resellers go too. But, that's not the point or your business. You are suppose to cater to the poor. I love the Salvation Army's mission and how much goes to helping ppl. But, yall need to make some changes in the thrift store."
"We went as a family, my kids were so excited because they had a book they wanted. We here the lady at the register yell across the store to stop fighting. No one was fighting. We were standing in the checkout line about 3 customers back and again she looks at us and says they don't allow fighting in the store. We left without getting anything because I didn't appreciate her telling everyone in the store twice no that we were doing something that never happened. We won't be back until they get more honest people working there"
"My experiences here are always different each and EVERY time. And, I’ve been going there since Major Grider was in charge of the SA presence in Amarillo. Sometimes, their pricing seems fair and equitable, and, other times, it seems totally out of line. I don’t believe that their “top management” has much hands on to do with this store….maybe?! And, I do agree, to a large degree, that the cashier’s attitude is volatile, she just always seems “unhappy”. Who knows something difficult may be going on in her life?! I will pray for her. The warehouse men have always been helpful and polite, and, that is always appreciated!"
"I always stop when I'm in town visiting my son. The store itself could use an update, new paint and maybe something to brighten up the inside? I usually find at least a couple of treasures and the staff is friendly."
