Rebel Cheese

"I LOVE it here. You can sample a few cheeses before purchasing. They’ve got a lot to choose from and the texture is really spot on. They’ve got a menu full of sandwiches, salads, and soups that you can enjoy inside or on their outdoor patio. They’ve also got an extensive wine by the glass and bottle selection. We got the cheese board and grilled cheese two days in a row. It was so good that we had to come back the next day. The bread on the grilled cheese is PERFECTLY crunchy. The cheese is gooey and packed with flavour. We chose our own cheese for the board. My absolute favourites are the smoked cheddar, Brie, and tomato heirloom. Service was really quick on Saturday night. They were slammed Sunday afternoon and there was a really long wait but the weather was lovely and we were in no rush! We are from Canada and you cannot get vegan cheeses like this there. Next time we’re in Austin, we will 100000% be back."

"Austin is truly blessed to have Rebel, and I’m constantly wondering how we got so lucky! I’ve been coming for years and the team here is simply the best, and always so welcoming. I brought a few of my friends who had no experience with plant-based foods and were a little nervous, but Henry and Jacks went completely out of their way to make them comfortable. They handed out samples, described the shop’s story, and gave us all of their personal recommendations. It was an unforgettable experience, and my friends had such a perfect introduction to the world of vegan cheese! When people are skeptical, you have no idea how important their first experience is and I’m so happy that got to happen here. We had a great time and Rebel remains one of my forever favorites. There’s not a single bad item on the menu, and the brunch offerings are unreal. You won’t find a better vegan eggs benedict. It makes me so happy that they support other local vegan businesses as well. We always look forward to the Miss Chickpeas items when we stop by."

"The eggs Benedict with ham was amazing. I loved how it’d run down like an actual egg! Also, Felipe was very helpful and introduced us with the Valentine’s Charcuterie board which was so awesome! Highly recommend this lovely meal ❤️"

"Outstanding! As you approach the shop there are two different sitting areas outside, one that wraps around the store, as the store sits on the corner, and a bar type area along the road. There is also some seating inside. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable with the cheese. It was easy to order, they are CASHLESS so be prepared. Once you place your order find a spot to relax and they will bring you your order. The cheeses DELICIOUS and the food so flavorful. You are able to sample any of the cheeses you like. We ordered the cheese tray and were amazed at the amount of cheese received. Come early as the time approached noon a line began to form; not sure what after the lunch rush looks like."

"This was a great place to grab a bite. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is so good. The cheese is amazing and so savory. The bathroom was clean and smelled good. Plenty of paper products in there. It is a little pricey. Vegan and vegetarian food typically are pricey though. It is a little out of the way if you are driving through but we'll worth the detour. If you can't parallel park you might try to find a parking lot. I think but not quite sure there might be one on top or near the restaurant."
