"We ate Brunch at Lutie's. The food was outstanding. We really liked the flavors. The pastries are made in house and are A+. The grounds are very pleasant. The noise level was low and we could carry on a conversation. On the down side, the portions were a little small. For example, the crepes were crepe, singular (but very yummy). Alternatively, the prices were high for the amount of food."
"The food here was pretty good. The service was phenomenal, they even have valet parking. Besides the bottom 3 dishes on the menu, you'd need to order ~2 dishes per person. Our favorite was the Petit Aioli appetizer. It's farm-fresh vegetables with a lemon aioli. The pork confit dish was great but the fat was really hard, in contrast with the flesh, making it a pain to swallow. Neither of us were too big of a fan of the BBQ shrimp and the dish could have been prepared to enjoy the head better. For a place in this price range, I just expected better. Go here during earlier than later because otherwise it's too dark here for older people to see. The cheeky sandy is not it btw, don't get it."
"Estate bread, waffle were good Petit aioli was not good Hash brown, shrimp and grits were ok. I wouldn’t order again. Service was good. Atmosphere is nice."
"We’ve had varying levels of success with the highest tier restaurants here in Austin, but I find Lutie’s to be worth the splurge. The grounds are gorgeous, and the restaurant itself is intimate and upscale in a very comforting way. The staff makes their farm to table, rotating offerings very accessible with a complete breakdown of each dish. This is a family style meal, so expect to order two to three plates for two people and four or five for four. These meals rotate, but you must get the bread and their trout meal; these are exceptionally well done staples that will leave you craving Lutie’s version for days after. We went for my birthday and the staff made us feel very at home. The Commodore Perry is a haunt of the Austin from before, and just getting a chance to look around is a great perk. Valet here is the only way to park, so come with some small bills! Definitely an Austin treasure. I suggest not doing the tasting menu your first time just to get acclimated to the type of food available and to have a little more control over picking your favorites. We will be back!"
"menu is insane, the grounds are beautiful and the staff are so lovely. We had a late reservation and ended up being there after close which I felt so bad about but the staff were still so welcoming and didn’t try to rush us out. Can’t miss the spiced chickpea dish. The flavor profile of each dish is so thoughtfully put together, the layers and spices in each dish are amazing. Was disappointed that they were out of the halibut but that means that we can go back !"
