Geek Squad,

"I went to geek squad for them to hopefully fix my desktop computer but apparently they did not have the spare parts nor an extra computer to diagnose my computer, even before them checking my computer they already suggested to go to a different best buy location to fix my computer. And the end result of my visit ended with them saying “thats corporate for you”."

"My experience with Geek Squad was terrible. I had an apparently minor problem with accessing Fox browser Took desktop in to Bee Caves thinking they could probably repair it while there. They told me it would take 2 weeks. Didnt like it but saw no choice They would call me when ready. I called them three days later and they told me it was ready although they had notcalled me.My computer was essentially inoperable. I called the 800 number and got an intelligent tech. They at first said it would be several days. I complained that I had already been without computer several days. After awhile they said if I would agree to remote service they could repair that day. I quickly agreed. I had to be on the computer through process and it took about it an hour. My computer worked like new when they finished and has continued with no problems. I wont take back to Bee Caves."

"My experience was terrible. Took my laptop in for repair - was told it needed to be shipped out To a central location for repair and would take 2 weeks. Was told it would arrive at the repair location within a couple days and then I would get a call about what repair was needed. And if I had any questions, to call the store directly. My device was delivered at the repair location within a couple days, but was not looked at or diagnosed at all for 2 weeks. Don’t even bother calling the store - no one ever answers the phone! I called different days, different times of day, never got an answer! Tried the online chat, they couldn’t help me at all... they gave me an 800 number to call. Calling the 800 number is another story - on hold for 60-90 minutes each time just waiting for someone to answer. I had to call the 800 number 3 times before they even got someone who was able to find my computer at the repair location and confirm it was still waiting for diagnosis. It was only after I called a 4th time - after 2 weeks and said to send my computer back to me that someone finally looked at my computer. Then no one calls you to let you know what’s needed for repair. You get an email to once again call the 800 number and wait on hold again for 90 min to find out what needs repair and approve the amount. Then I proceeded to get the same email for the next 2 days saying I still needed to approve my repair. Again - another 60 min on hold each day to talk to someone who finally said - oh no that must be a glitch, you’ve already approved your repair! Another 2 weeks for them to repair my device and finally ship it back. My laptop does appear repaired, but the communication throughout the process was horrible! I will never go to Geek Squad for repair again! Go to a local place!! At least your device won’t be held hostage at some offsite location when you can’t even reach a live person to talk to!"

"Great customer service, with great prices that can be price matched to go even lower! Geek squad is friendly and fast and the members of the sales floor are experienced in their field. Great experience every time I walk in."

"They are extremely overpriced and overrated, overall they are horrible. We went there sat and waited only later did they say we were not even going to be able to have our computer looked at until tomorrow. Not only that but we were told that in a demeaning harsh aggressive tone. I really hope they get better management and new guys to help them on he floor because only one was even working or trying to help anyone. Just don't go there, god bless anyone who does."
