"I was visiting Austin for a few days and looked up nearby restaurants for something special. The QR ordering had me a little wary, but I’m happy that I went for the garden and excellent food reported in the reviews As a solo diner, it’s not always easy to feel comfortable in a restaurant. But shortly after my arrival a wonderful lady (later told me she was the owner) explained their menu options and I decided to order her favorite– chicken tamale with green salsa It was by far the best tamale I’ve ever had and it is not hyperbole to say I could taste the love that went into its creation If you have an opportunity to visit this fine establishment you will not be disappointed with the food or service. I cannot wait for my next visit to Austin"

"Tamale House has such a good atmosphere. Feels very much like you’re in a homey environment. Food was large portioned for the price! I had a pork tamale (the house tamale) and it was very good. Salsas were also delicious."
