"no me gustó para nada- my flauta was undercooked so the tortilla was floppy and damp, rice and beans bland, guac was bland and had a weird texture, there no music playing so i felt castigada eating in silence... the salsa was good, the place is cute, the young waiter is very nice. won't be back"

"I had breakfast tacos here. Bean egg and cheese and a Barbacoa taco. Both were great. Barbacoa was not to salty or greasy (which is always a plus). Oh, and homemade tortillas! Makes tacos 3× better than regular store bought. Service was great and speedy. I'll be back to try some other items on their menu!"

"Angie's is a great locally owned Austin success story. They have evolved over time from very humble beginnings to now a full fledged restaurant space on par with the best of 'em. I'm sure many of the recipes date back to authentic, home cooked meals, and there is still a care and authenticity which are visible and delectable as well. The salsa is *hot* and I like things hot. For $10, the "large" guacamole should have been twice the size that was served, but it was good. I don't get to Austin that much anymore, so my Mexican restaurant choices are very carefully considered."

"So if you are in Austin craving some good ol Mexican food, you should visit this place. We stopped on a whim and were not disappointed. The owner attended to us and added the extra personal touch. She let me sample the flour tortilla...mmm... too bad it was not breakfast because I'm sure they will be good in a taco. My wife loved the beef. I could not get enough of the salsa. The puffy style tacos are filling. If you stop by..provecho!"

"Clean $$$ good customer service. Delicious homemade corn tortillas. Menudo was over cooked for me but it did have hominy, it has potential to be good. Might try again. Food was a bit on the cold side. Good coffee. I didn't care for the chorizo and bean taco. Chorizo is not cooked into the food, its layered. I did not like the barbacoa, tasted dirty. Chips and salsa have a great flavor. Will try again for better rating. Not sure if we recommend, you might have to judge this one for yourself."
