"The service was amazing. I had the Bouillabaisse, and it's definitely a must try. Tried the East Coast oysters because they were out of the Gulf Coast. They were not what I'm used to, so it was a little bit of a disappointment. You have to try the bubble drinks, which are very entertaining."
"With such stratospheric prices, one would expect faultless service, attention to details and customer focus. We did not find any of that there last night. $72 for lamb chops and sausage!!! $44 for a small steak frites and $21 for a mushroom soup?!?! This is Michelin prices for Cantina service. A bottle of Prisoner that you can buy for 36-40$ at Heb listed at 116 (or 126 I don’t recall)!!! Now that is called organized theft. The béarnaise was way too liquid and lemony (there is no lemon in béarnaise except if it comes from a can). The mussels suffered from a design fault, they were nicely spread vertically in a tagine oven except that once the steam they are cooked in is gone the mussels dry quickly as they don’t touch the white wine broth. I let half the dish go to waste because it was so bad. The $40 trout almondine looked good though I struggle to understand the 20% price hike from the menu on their website. Which leads me to another red flag, the menu on their website is not only outdated (it was cut in half so all the stuff I was looking forward to ordering disappeared) but price went up by 20% from their Fall/Winter menu. I guess the 20% price hike did not go to the servers… The water lady was so unhappy it looked like she came back from a funeral despite repeated hello and thank you from us. Our server albeit friendly was sloppy. Forgetting silverware, leaving space dirty, handling silverware the wrong way and from behind our back, the list goes on and on. It used to be a successful place, they fell victim of their success the place was barely half full last night on a Saturday night and I wish I got the memo earlier. I mentioned on the reservation it was a birthday, we mentioned the birthday boy maybe 10x during the evening when the server was around but nada, no special attention. When you charge stratospheric prices, you expect excellent food, excellent service. Neither was delivered last night, you will never see us again, I should have followed my instincts and return to PS-21. There are too many outstanding French in Houston to support the mediocrity, I regret dearly ruining this birthday dinner by going there."
"Our favorite place for happy hour oyster. $1 gulf and $1.25 east coast. Best price in Houston. It’s all day Tue,Wed & Sun. And don’t forget the wagyu burger which is amazingly delicious."
"What a great restaurant! When we walked in we were floored by how gorgeous the inside was. Very elegant and modern without feeling like it was too upscale. The hostesses was very nice and sat us close to the bar so we could take advantage of the happy hour specials. $7 -$8 drinks that were fantastic, $1 Gulf Coast oysters and $1.25 East Coast oysters, and a $30 14oz steak special that included fries. The service: literally top notch. So friendly and quick and everything you could want it to be. Atmosphere: like I said, gorgeous place. Food: okay, so the only critique I have is that the steak came out a bit overcooked than we asked for (we asked for med-rare and it was pretty much med-well). The steak tasted very good especially with the garlic butter and chimicuri, and even being med well was still quite tender. The shrimp ceviche- maybe it just wasn't what we should have ordered and other people would like it, but the the shimp were whole, the onions were sliced thin but long strips, and it was very juicy (like a bowl of juice) and served with plantains. Everything tasted good, just awkward to eat cause we had to cut up the shrimp. Drinks: really good. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back."
"Such a nice place with great food I did like the salad and my main course also the dessert was so delicious the service was amazing and the stuff were friendly Great place for dating , business lunch, family gathering . Will come back again for sure !"
