"This shop is amazing! Their attention to detail is incredible, they go above and beyond with customer service. My vehicle was in and out in a reasonable time. Definitely recommend them. Thanks again guys!"
"When in for my alignment, very friendly staff and whole garage full of sick a$$ cars!! Will definitely be going back for bigger projects fast forward ... just picked up my Z. Had a new rear diff installed, new tires and an alignment. Riley was SUPER informative and kept me updated on the progress. 100,000 STARS!! Thank you Riley and the team at HD !!"
"Saying goes, you can choose two of three options, cheap, fast, and good. At HD Motorsports you can expect expensive, slow, and sloppy. Shop hourly rate: $179.00 TL;DR - Shop tells me that the car will take about a week to get fixed takes 5 weeks to do the job (input shaft, slave, pilot bearing, trans output/selector seals) - Originally quotes me about $2000, changes to $4500 and then back tracks to $3500 - About a dozen calls to make sure that the car is getting worked on - Tells me a completely made up reason to why the car has a check engine light it didn't come in with - I come back twice to get the car fixed properly C5 Z06 issue: creeping forward in 1st gear and driveline vibrations Car dropped off 10/17/23, they tell me that if the torque tube needs to be dropped and parts replaced expect about a week turnaround. I expected 2.5 weeks I get a text same day, that the torque tube will need to be pulled out of the car. The service writer sends me a quote at around $2,000 (diag, torque tube removal and reassembly) 2 weeks go by (10/28/23) no resp. I call and NO WORK HAS BEEN DONE ON THE CAR. Excuse was "race car stuff" they needed to finish I tried to be understanding as and timelines are always double what what’s expected. But at what they were charging I was a bit peeved that such a dumb excuse was used - I paid for their time mismanagement Monday (10/30/23) issues found -damaged pilot bearing, input shaft, and slave. They send me a new quote with additional work and parts. The estimate goes from ~$2,000 to almost $4,500. They added another 9 hours of labor for reassembly ($1530.00), which was already included in the original quote The service writer says the person who originally wrote the quote quit right after the intake and now was "he said she said" situation. More poor management. HD agrees that the initial quote was correct and subtracts almost $1,000. A business @$179/hr can’t provide a quote within more 100% of the original estimate. If HD was unwilling to hold their word, I'd have a car that was torn apart with two options, either put the broken car back together pay $2,000. Or pay $4,500 for a replaced input shaft, pilot bearing, and slave New timeline - end of next week (11/11/23). Estimate for parts is Mon-Tuesday (11/7-8) then Tue-Wed (11/8-9) then Wed-Thurs (11/9-10) (a day before estimated pickup). Parts don’t come until 11/11. Their excuse is that some parts are hard to source. A big shop can't get ahold of a slave, pilot bearing, and input shaft kit for over 2 weeks? I complain, and they agree to give a 10% discount on labor They get the parts, and the car is done on the next Monday (11/13). I pickup and the car wasn't put together properly. The shifter (MGW) was misaligned (not centering, multiple gates for 3rd/4th) driver HVAC vent missing, new check engine light. I have a disabled MAF (tuning reasons disabled CEL for MAF only). The tech tells me the CEL is for knock sensor and that the MAF is on the same circuit, causing the CEL. COMPLETE BS. My tuner confirms BS. When I ask why HD would make that claim they had no response. I come the next Tuesday (11/21) shifter fixed, vent replaced, but didn’t diagnose/fix the CEL and ask to bring the car back later. They expect me to come in a third time to do what they should have done in the first place. Eventually they say that they're not going to be responsible for the issue (they said it would be fixed). The intake form even included peeling wheel coating, but they didn’t bother to do a simple scan of the car to make sure they hadn’t caused any new issues. My cigarette socket also wasn’t working (which could have been me) I go to fix it and see that they CRACKED my bezel and tried to glue it back together I'm not sure if it was my cheaper car, as there are tons of high-end cars there who's owners, I couldn't image put up with kind of BS. But I would urge anyone to think twice before handing over your hard-earned money to this business."
"We wanted a lift on our 4Runner so it would be more capable off-road. We shopped around and compared, but HD was the by far the most knowledgeable about what could be done (within reason) to a 4Runner. We went with them and could not recommend them more highly. The process from estimate to completion was around 3 days. We received invoices along the way as well as text messages that kept us apprised of progress. When we picked up the truck we were blown away by the quality of the work. We of course immediately hammered some jeep trails on the way home and the truck was significantly improved over fast and rough terrain. All for a price we could afford and actually understand. Great shop. What else could you ask for?"
"I came across HD Motorsports from a recommendation and I’m glad I did! The staff was professional greeting and talking with me. There’s nothing these guys can’t do. I own a 2016 GX460 that they converted into an overlanding vehicle. Not only can they do suspension, wheels/tires, body chop, aux fuel tanks, lights, skid plates, bumpers, etc. but they will sit down with you and talk extensively about what you want to do with your vehicle. As as veteran I trust them being veteran owned and everyone is friendly. If you have a super car bring it there. If you have a classic muscle car bring it there. They’ll get you done right."
