Reviews of LALIGURAS: NEPALI & INDIAN - HALAL FOOD
"This is Laliguras at the leander food truck park. I believe this food truck is lali guras but also the same business as Lali Son as there was a vehicle with the delivery topper with Lali son on it. I love Lali son located in leander in the gas station, great food every time. The Laliguras food truck had pretty much similar offerings. I ordered the Chicken 65 and chow mein. Normally delightful from the physical location, the food truck was absolutely terrible. To be fair it is a relatively new food truck, working out the kinks? I placed my order, waited a bit, pager went off, went to get food. It was someone else's order. Waited a bit more and received my order. Chicken 65, chicken chow mein, rice. Chicken 65: overly deep fried, dried to a crisp, was not edible. Had to throw it out. (see photo) Never looked like this from the physical location Chow mein: noodles overcooked, tasted bland, just barely edible. Chicken was barely tasteful Naan: the naan from the physical location is delicious. The naan from the food truck seemed as if it came from a package or was frozen. It dried the moment it cooled off, became cardboard. The food truck park was acquired by assumedly by an indian owner, since there are now two indian type food trucks. Boss cheese steak was not there anymore, variety is thin now. The playground is dilapidated , play scape was falling apart and a concern for toddler safety wise. The mulch has not been refreshed since opening, exposed rocks under the swing, essentially a lawsuit waiting to happen when a child falls onto it."
"Laliguras serves some of the best Nepali and Indian food in this area! They always make my food exactly like how I tell them, and they have such wide selection of options. The owners are wonderful people and have always been so welcoming towards me. I love their chicken biryani with extra spicy level. Be careful though, it does get spicy. Overall, a great place to take you and your family to eat!"
"We enjoyed their momos. The filling was flavorful and well seasoned. Another dish we tried - chicken chow mein - was also good. We had the opportunity to chat with the owner and staff while waiting for our food and found them to be warm, gracious people trying their best to provide good food and service. Prices were also reasonable!"
"Our take-out experience at Laliguras, where Indian and Nepalese cuisines come together, was a delightful journey into a world of rich flavors and diverse culinary traditions. We explored a selection of dishes, including the Chicken Biryani, Chilly Chicken Momo, and the Chicken Tikka Roll, and while the Chicken Tikka Roll stood out, our overall experience was a savory adventure. Chicken Tikka Roll (4/5): The Chicken Tikka Roll was the undisputed star of our meal. With succulent chicken and a medley of spices wrapped in soft, warm bread, it was a delight for the taste buds. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the roll was an exquisite fusion of Indian and Nepalese tastes. Chilly Chicken Momo and Chicken Biryani (3/5): While the Chilly Chicken Momo and Chicken Biryani were undoubtedly good, we found them to be slightly saltier than we preferred. The dishes were flavorful and packed with spices, but the saltiness was a minor drawback that we hope could be adjusted in the future."
"New spot for yummy momos! Hits the cravings! The meat is well seasoned and marinated. Service is fast. The momo sauce is delicious. Perfect for all spice levels. Recommend calling ahead then picking up as there is no seating. Can’t wait to try again."
