Reviews
"Nichole was such an amazing waitress and gave really good recommendations since it was our first visit. We enjoyed the salmon salad and the hangover burger. The view out on the balcony is superb! Nichole was so kind, patient and friendly. Highly recommend this place for brunch"
"Expect a mediocre overpriced dining experience. It reminded me of another restaurant famous for its lake views that we all visit in spite of the reviews because we assume a nice view overcomes a bad dining experience. But of course, a man cannot live on instagrammable landscapes alone; he also needs occasional water refills and flatware that doesn’t have visible food still stuck to it. The interior is kind of rundown. The tables have visible damage. The chairs are all stained and wobbly. The menus are torn and stained. The kids working there were nice, but naturally they ended up chatting in groups rather than serving tables. It’s just normal young people behavior. There needs to be more people with a fully developed prefrontal cortex to help keep things on task, but having worked at similar businesses when I was a teenager, I suspect they do it this way because it’s cheaper to employ kids. Anyway, if you’ve gotten this far into these reviews, you already know what The Grove is like but you’re probably trying to convince yourself it’ll be better. It’s not better, but go ahead and visit anyway. I’m sure I’ll come back too as soon as I’ve forgotten that it wasn’t worth it."
"Best views of this little regional chain restaurant. The food is always solid and will have something for everyone in your group. The price is very reasonable. The view is spectacular. The service is exactly what it should be for a solid middle class spot like this. Not fine dining. Not a diner. Just a solid middle of the road spot. Great for any and all occasions. Most people will be wearing “lightly dressed up jean” - not a suit in sight. A wonderful spot where all can leave happy."
"Stopped by here for drinks and food. I stopped by specifically for the braised short ribs. Once there, I was told they were no longer on the menu. I didn't see much on the menu, so I ordered two appetizers as my entrée. The calamari lacked flavor, so I returned it. The crab cake, however, was good. It's flavorful but for 21 small compared to crab cakes I've had elsewhere. My friend had the Halibut and said it lacked flavor as well. Overall, we were disappointed and are unlikely to return."
"Located hill top with great views. Excellent brunch spot and any other time! Balcony/Patio has heating and cooling/summer and is covered. Inside a wall of windows brings the views in for everyone and into an impressive wine collection! Craft drinks are tasty and the food is exceptional. I wish I had taken more pictures."
