"Drunken Pho offers a very good Vietnamese dining experience which I would rate at 4.5 stars if Google Maps provided this capability. Most of the elements of the pho, their principal dish, are tasty, fresh and overall excellent. These include the rice noodles, the tender meat slices, the spongy meatballs, crisp and plentiful bean sprouts, flavorful basil leaves, and moderately spicy jalapeño slices. Unfortunately, the broth is a bit bland for my taste. I had to add more hoisin sauce and sriracha than I usually do with my pho to bring the soup to the flavor and spiciness that I prefer. The egg rolls were served fresh out of the fryer and were warm, crunchy, non oily and tasty; but I did find the outer crust to be a bit thick and therefore slightly masking the taste of the yummy inside content. The service was prompt and friendly. We were served about 10 minutes after ordering. Comfortable counter top seating that looks inward on the kitchen and the food preparation provides an enjoyable dining atmosphere. The location in Bravery Chef Hall off Preston on the southwest side of the intersection of Preston and Travis is a short walk away for downtown workers. However, if you are driving from other parts of Houston, nearby parking is scarce. The total cost for two bowls of pho, egg-rolls, one Thai tea, one bottle of water, and tip came In around $40. (Oh, I fondly remember the days when a filling bowl of pho could be obtained for $5.). At today’s pricing, this is going to be one of your more reasonably priced options for eating downtown but you may be inclined to reduce your visits to no more than a couple of times per month"
"This is in the bravery chef hall- parking can be kind of hard but once you get in it’s worth it. Pho 10/10 for us. Meat was tender and thin. Soup flavorful! So delicious highly recommend. Left soup completely empty as you can tell :)"
"Drunken Pho in Houston emerges as a beacon for Vietnamese cuisine connoisseurs. Their vermicelli, a long-sought treasure, transcends mere noodle expectations. It's not just food; it's an expedition into the heart of Vietnam from the comfort of Houston. This isn't just a dish; it's a revelation, the vermicelli embodying succulence in every strand. Drunken Pho isn't merely serving food; they're curating experiences, one plate at a time."
"This was my first time trying pho and it was delicious although I will say I have nothing to compare it to. Staff was friendly. I got the chicken pho and added brisket was it was very good. It's located inside a small food hall in downtown so you know parking is a hassle."
"Shrimp spring rolls and sauce were OK but ordinary. There were too much vermicelli and vegetable in comparison to the three half-sliced shrimps. The portion could be better if the ratio was adjusted. There are better places for spring rolls with specially made sauce unfortunately. My friend thinks that the beef pho was good! Chicken vermicelli could be better as the meat was not well seasoned and so a little dry and plain to the palette. It’s still a good dish considering the portion but just not as tasty as one has expected. There are plenty of good Vietnamese restaurants elsewhere so this comes out real ordinary. I guess I had too much expectations because of the prices we have paid."
