"I liked that place so I travel from austin to go there in round rock many times but this time was different because...I order veggie pho as always and tofu was staled. The first one I spitted it out and the second one I tried. I thought my mouth tasted funny but sure enough second one was staled also... I called the server and told him and he offered me the new bowl and I requested one without tofu. The second bowl I received was with old yellowish broccoli in the soup and the mushroom wasn't clean properly either... The end of stem part of mushroom was with black stuff stuck to it. Maybe the root part, I don't know. It didn't look good at all. And the finally a small day fly sat on my chop sticks that put on the bowl. I got the new chip sticks and I just ate some noodles and left... I guess today wasn't my day at all at that Phonatic..."

"I ordered the vegetable pho and vegetable spring rolls. My pho bowl was loaded!!! Definitely worth the $13!. However, the spring rolls only had lettuce, noodles and tofu in it. I was expecting more veggies in the roll minus the noodles. You have to ask for the fish sauce. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere was clean and relaxing. I will definitely go back!!!"

"Unless you enjoy eating lukewarm soup with raw old meat in it (soup has to be hot in order to cook the meat) I’d recommend to stay far away from this place. It was so gross and tasteless. Even after we added all the fixings, still gross."

"I've eaten at Phonatic many times over the years; since they opened up in fact. They serve a reliably good bowl of Pho, and their spring rolls are also great. My kids love their sliders, too. I've never had a bad experience with their staff. They are located in the shopping center by the HEB, near the movie theater. The atmosphere is pretty basic but not bad, nothing fancy. I think there may be some Pho places that are considered "more authentic" than Phonatic, but it hasn't stopped me from coming back, even after I moved away from the area. Phonatic is a solid choice for great Vietnamese food."
