"Had one good experience dining in and one bad taking out. $28 for enchiladas and guacamole for takeout. Chips apparently aren't included with the $9 guac. Had mole poblano/enchilads de mole. Mole is solid. Probably won't return a third time."
"The food was very bland. I ordered the Lone Star relleno, and the chicken stuffed in the pepper had no flavor at all. The salsa that came with the chips was great, though lots of flavor. When the bill came, I got charged an extra $5 to get cheese on it, but the menu says you can choose a sause including cheese but nothing about an extra charge."
"Absolutely delicious food. Loved the sopes and wonderful fajitas. Our waiter was so friendly and funny. The frozen blue Marg was def worth a try as well. Hidden little gem."
"This is my absolute favorite traditional Mexican restaurant in Austin. The service is phenomenal, food is fantastic and they even have a Mariachi band on Fridays. Chavelo is always there providing me with the best dinner service, and anytime I have a friend come visit I make sure to take them for a delicious lunch or dinner. Highly recommended!"
"Decided to try based on the reviews. It did not disappoint. A solid 4 star joint. Excellent chips and salsa, fajita tacos were a bit dry but good, the enchiladas were very good and the chicken tortilla soup was perfect."
