"Fun and yum! El Tiempo Cantina is a gentle way to get to know Tex-Mex flavours. The atmosphere and service is a great space for the tourist on the road. The service was top notch and incredibly friendly. There is a lot of fried foods which can be a challenge for over cooking. But there are strong flavours and an exercise for the taste buds if you’re not use to spice. But it isn’t too spicy."

"Small local Mexican restaurant cantina, with intense prices, normally parrilladas 1-3 people market price is about $60-75, however, here starts at $129.99. Great service, some of the prices should be cut to give the awesome servers a better tip advantage. Some of the food is not very appetizing."

"Celebrating birthdays with friends! It was a busy night, but I loved the atmosphere. We only had to wait 20 minutes for a party of 6. Our waiter, Ricardo was very nice and constantly checked our table. The food was delicious. I would definitely visit this location again."

"There should be zero hesitation, come here if you haven't tried it already. I was really surprised when I saw that they had albondiga soup and it was phenomenal. I'm from a border town and I always search for more authentic dishes and I've never been able to find this in Houston, except for here. Please enjoy! Besides this, the parking typically offers valet, more like you don't have a choice but it's nice. It is more on the expensive side but it's worth eating here because of the food and the serving professionals."

"Always one of the best Mexican spots in Houston. You cannot go wrong with their food! My go to favorite is the jumbo lump Crab Enchiladas!! It’s just not the same at other locations from this one on Washington! Highly recommend. Also, they have the best cilantro rice! It’s a great family restaurant as well. My son loves their cheese quesadillas."
