"Came here for dinner and the meat was delicious and moist!!! The bartender was very helpful when we ordered a flight. The old fashion was ON Point and perfectly balanced! Also ended up buying a bottle of the Red Handed whiskey! We will definitely we be coming back again when we are up this way!! Cheers my new friends!"
"We have eaten here several times over the years, just now leaving a review. Came this last time to meet some friends so our kids could play and was hoping they still had the brisket queso burger, no luck but I’ve had their nachos, tacos, queso, and mac-n-cheese. Very good choices! This time I tried the $18 brisket sandwich and was very disappointed. Average at best as far as taste goes and the size of a kids burger. I would stick with the nachos or tacos. As far as the service goes I was forced to sit at a table inside to order food even though I explained we were sitting by the playground. I understand this is the new policy since the last time I was there, it was how I was spoken to. Overall I highly recommend this place, cheers!!!"
"Awesome time here in the late afternoon hours. We had two waitresses, the second was awesome, answered questions and made recommendations. Sorry to not have gotten her name. We visited three different places like this on our trip on the Fitzhugh strip and this was definitely the favorite. Everything was so fresh! Wish it had been a bit cooler on our trip so we could have enjoyed the outside, or come on a night where we assume there is probably live music because there was a setup for it. Great atmosphere! The bbq sauce was the most unique and best we tasted during our visit, a peppery sweet and tangy sauce, great drinks, the tortilla chips were fantastic, best queso we had (if you don't like it super spicy, ask for not green sauce), my party raved about the tacos (I didn't try them) said they were the best they had had. The guac was fresh and had a nice lime flavor. The strawberry dessert was a nice treat on this hot day. They no longer do beer flights even though it is on the menu, so if that is what you want, just be aware. Also the Lady Bird soda has an artificial sweetener in it, I do wish it had said that on the menu because we had never even heard of this sweetener before and would have ordered something different. But overall this was an amazing time, would definitely come back if we are ever here again."
"This was a nice find. We stopped by because me and my family were in the area for the day. We didn't have drinks and only ordered food. I had the brisket sandwich with chips. The sandwich was good but the chips were... different with a taste I can't place. The mac and cheese was on the dry side for my taste but the queso was amazing. I tasted my husband's potato salad and it tasted like regular cooked potatoes slathered in mayo. It was not to my liking at all. Our waitress Morgan was wonderful and took very good care of us. There is outside seating but it's too hot to sit if you ask me. The inside was nice but very loud. Over all it was a decent place to eat."
"Next to the restaurant was Treaty Oaks indoor bar that made some fabulous cocktails and a few sample flights of their libations. It's absolutely one of the best bourbons I've had from Texas. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks being served. The best part since we started our visit in the bar and then went next door to the restaurant is that tabs can carry over to each cashier so no need to be opening & closing tabs along the tour. Alice's menu has items that are so good that you won't need a to-go container. Each dish sounded so good it was hard to make a decision. I know we will be back to try out many more items and look forward to more bourbon samples. Being that most of the area is outdoors I would prepare yourself for whatever the weather is like when you plan to visit. The outdoor band on the old delivery truck is also a very cool touch."
