"I’ve been to different locations multiple times and never had issues until today. Bought $40+ worth of food including 3 slices of cake. Then l redeemed points for a slice and tried to get the “ birthday week” slice but couldn’t because they didn’t have enough made at 12 in the afternoon. So instead of getting the free slice while its actually my birthday week now I lose out on the points and only get the one slice. In addition to that the chicken pot pie taco had big bone in it that wasn’t noticed until my girlfriend bit into it. Had that been our 6 year old who knows what could have happened. While we do enjoy the food here, this was not a good experience to say the least. Update 2/15/24 : was contacted months ago about masking up for the situation, was asked for billing address which I gave, and to this day have not received anything."

"For the first place I went to eat on my trip to Houston this Velvet Taco location definitely hit the bar! They had plenty of options for all diets especially considering I am vegetarian. The customer service was also amazing. I really loved Sabrin, she was super nice and helpful and even went over the menu with us and fellow new customers. Joshua was super patient with us when we were ordering and super nice! I believe to be the manager was also super nice and gave us cups for free drinks and took away our trash! Overall amazing customer service, food, and atmosphere, these workers totally deserve all the credit!"

"Went here because it was highly recommended when we flew into town from MI. I started with the Curry Queso and chips. They really were great and not spicy. The queso was literally doing the name justice. We got 2 Buffalo chicken tacos, a rotisserie chicken, a Cuban pig, and a Kobe beef smash burger. All were great, but the Cuban pig and smash burger were best. Great flavors and filling. I would go back. I definitely enjoyed this place because of the food."

"Michael helped us with our order and he did a wonderful job. He was very kind and nice. We appreciate the great customer service he showed. He made the stop worth it for us and made our day. The taco we ordered was also very good. We 100 percent recommend it."

"I ordered some chips and guacamole along with a 14.5 shrimp taco and a 1 buffalo chicken taco. Really enjoyed the shrimp taco and forgot I’m not into the buffalo wings flavor, though it was OK. My daughter got the tofu and paneer tacos and liked them. Service was great. One of the counter guys checked in with us during the middle of our meal to see if all was OK. Parking was convenient. I would go back again."
