About Us
Don Carlos Mexican Restaurant is a beloved family-owned establishment located at 416 76th Street in Houston, Texas. Since 1986, we have been serving up delicious Tex-Mex cuisine to our customers, both new and regular. Our founders, Christos and Gerry Stathatos, originally from Greece, had a vision to achieve the American dream through their passion for food. Starting in Houston's East End, they quickly expanded to a second location near Hobby Airport in 1994 and a third location in Waco, Texas in 2009. Our commitment to providing quality food and excellent customer service has remained unwavering throughout the years.
We are open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 10pm and Friday & Saturday from 11am to 11pm. Additionally, we offer breakfast on Monday & Tuesday from 8am to 10pm, Wednesday & Thursday from 8am to 11pm, Friday from 8am to 12am, Saturday from 7am to 12am, and Sunday from 7am to 10pm. "Food and ambiance is always excellent.. M-F 11am-3pm is lunch specials and they give you free cheese for the table during those hours.. Lunch special have great options at very affordable prices.. I always have my son and daughters birthday dinners here.. The waitresses and staff are on point and very fast.. DO NOT GET THE BIRRIA.. it in no way taste like Birria tacos.. the flavor is overwhelming and bitter.. I had to send it back and order something else... NOT WORTH IT.."

"We eat there about twice a week. The service is always good and the food is hot and fresh. Can't beat 3 Enchiladas for $9.95. You choice carnitas(my favorite) shredded chicken or ground beef. They have hands down the best chips and salsa. You get free queso at lunch till 3pm. Definitely worth the trip to the Eastside."
