Chef Ding

"Nothing is more unnerving than when you’re tired from a tough work week, hungry and the food you order is not good. First of all, the atmosphere is outdated and ugly, but appears clean (I’m willing to bet that isn’t the case in the back). I ordered Lo Mein Beef and the noodles were chewy and no flavor. I swallowed something hard, thought I’d have to call 911, but it went down. I don’t know what the heck that was. The hot and sour soup was the only thing worth eating. I highly regret ordering from here."

"Not the move chief. If you want to spend $30 on awful Chinese food this is the place. The egg rolls were filled with flavorless mush, the fried pork dumplings tasted like nothing, were soggy and pale (I think frozen), the king pao chicken didn’t suck but tasted like nothing. I’m a big Chinese food fan and this was just not good. Drive out to katy and go to spicy house for significantly better food. (If you look at the background of the dumpling picture, we’re thawing meat to cook for dinner because we couldn’t eat this)."

"Food is fantastic. This is the place to go for good Chinese food. Great portions. Great options. It was quickly served. The place is kind of grungy, so don’t have high expectations there, but the food is worth it. I would come back for sure."

"I can’t count the number of times I’ve had Chef Ding. EVERYTHING is delicious! I usually have my food delivered, but today I decided to go pick up my items. The restaurant itself is very unassuming tucked in a strip center by Kroger. The interior needs some revamping, but this review isn’t based on the atmosphere. Food is fantastic, delivery is speedy, the woman who answers the phone is always polite, prices are good and the portions are sizable. Some of my favorites include the Salted Pepper Tofu (magnificent), the Green Pepper Steak (saucy and tender), Chicken Lettuce Wraps (very flavorful) and the Sesame Chicken (perfectly prepared). I order from CD at least twice a month and I’m always very happy with everything."
